Keeping a close eye on Faux News today...
I know that with Socialists winning in Spain and with Zapatero pulling trooops out of Iraq, they're going to be oozing much more than their usual bias from Roger Ailes' "The Memo" and giving us a preview of their post election coverage when * loses. I'll be watching for "appeasement", "weakness", "terrorists win", "the Neville Chamberlain route", equating war with Iraq with war on terror, making French like jokes about the Spaniards, etc.

1. what pisses me off is people with absolutely no knowledge
are talking about what happened in Spain. They will surely try to spin it as a voctory for terrorists but I think spaniards know better. They voted for the socialist party for reason. They didn't vote because they are affraid of terrorists.

The soon to be prime minister has said he will fight terrorism. The fact is he doesn't see Iraq war as part of the war on terror. This is what most of people in Europe think too. And Bush and his cronnies just doesn't get it. We have 1. a war on terror and 2. a war in Iraq. Fighting 2 weakens 1. Plain and simple.

The other part that FOX and the other whores will deliberately miss in their comments is theat may be, just may be Spain voted out Aznar because he tried to lie to them that this is an ETA operation while there were clear signs that it is not ETA but probably radical islamists. the lesson - you lie to your people - you're voted out. Plain and simple.

Bush and Fox may spin it all they want but they are praying something like that doesn't happen in USA till the election time. If that happens, get ready for a Dem landslide.

2. first shot
Faux's Kilmeade suggested that "bin Laden got what he wanted" with a guest the last half hour (guest countered that we also gave him what he wanted by pulling out of Saudi Arabia), though they're spending more time talking about the foreign leaders who want Kerry to be elected topic, and how he was confronted by some freeper heckler over the weekend.

5. It's confusing that a terrorist attack in Spain causes leader to lose....
But a terrorist attack in America is thought to be a good omen at getting Bush elected?? Why would a terrorist attack on US have a different result than a terrorist attack on Spain? Or was it already written that Aznar was going to lose and the attack actually helped him? What's the deal?

6. Isn't democracy grand?
The ruling party in Spain was on the way out anyway. Asnar wasn't even running? It was clear that the majority of people in Spain voted in a fair and free election and they decided they wanted to change their leadership.

I wonder how much longer before Spain will be put on the rogue nation list and suddenly have all sorts of links to al Qaeda. Bu$hCo is very vindictive whenever someone has the nerve to go against them, especially since that terrorist attack didn't seem to have the desired effect.

7. Spain understands and appreciates democracy
and what it means.

They lived through decades of authoritarian right-wing dictatorship and know that when governments start to lie and ignore the desires of the population, it's time to ditch them.

Fox is nothing more than a glorified propaganda mouthpiece for fascism in the US.
