Washington tells Pootie-Poot "Do a Better Job with Democracy"
I just heard this quote on BBC, honestly....those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Powell: "We don't hesitate to point out to President Putin that he should use the popularity that he has to broaden the political dialogue and not use his popularity to throttle political dialogue and openness in the society," Powell told ABC TV.

That set off an angry rebuke from the Cabinet chief of staff and a calmer retort from Putin, who said the 2000 Florida election fiasco in the United States showed the weaknesses of the world's oldest democracy.

Some "see the splinter in another's eye and ignore the log in his own," Putin said. Russia will consider the criticism and "if we think there is something to think about, will draw the corresponding conclusions," he said.

Spanish Socialists Oust Party of U.S. War Ally

is there a link to the Guardian/Putin statement?

interesting, that's 2 biblical references in 2 days, from the godless/socialists/left etc. that the faux xtian in office and his cronies have had posited to them...

Zapatero..."Mr. Rajoy says I have no principles or convictions: well I'm going to give you a few examples of my principles," he told followers at a campaign stop in Valencia before the election. "My first principle: thou shalt not kill. That's why I opposed an unjust war. My second principle: thou shalt not lie. That's why I criticized Mr.
Rajoy's handling of the Prestige oil spill."
