Meet FOX's new campaign source, Carlton Sherwood - Moon operative

From moonwatcher @bartcop:

on FOX during a discussion on Viet Nam, no less. Accused him everything shy of being a child molestor.
It was this guy: http://www.bavf.org/carlton_sherwood_award.htm

My guess is we are talking about the SAME 'Carlton Sherwood' who wrote "Inquisition". When are people gonna connect the dots and see that all the shit all comes from the same toilet?

"The New Birth Project" is when Moon spent 30 million redoing his image in the eighties.

http://www.mediachannel.org/originals/moontranscript.shtml

Narrator: Is the New Birth Project continuing? In June,1991, Inquisition, a new, purportedly independent investigation of Moon's 1982 tax fraud prosecution, was released by a Washington publisher, Regnery-Gateway. Its author, Carlton Sherwood, is a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter who once worked for the Washington Times.

Narrator: Inquisition has a curious history. It was printed once before, by an obscure publishing house called Andromeda. The phone number listed for Andromeda in a leading publishing directory is the home phone of former Reagan National Security Council official Roger Fontaine — an ex-reporter at the Washington Times. When we called, Fontaine's wife Judy answered and said she knew nothing about Andromeda. Then she told us that the company was bankrupt and that Inquisition was published by Regnery-Gateway.
Narrator: Alfred Regnery is the head of Regnery-Gateway.

Regnery: "It is not unlike a lot of other books we have published. It is a story that deals with the First Amendment, which is something that is very dear to publishers, of course."

Narrator: Alfred Regnery was told by Carlton Sherwood that the Moon Organization would purchase one hundred thousand copies of Inquisition — at least according to former Washington Times editor James Whelan, another Regnery-Gateway author. But Alfred Regnery denies it.

Regnery: "I never said that to Jim, and I've never had any conversation with what's his name-Bo?"

Narrator: "Bo Hi Pak."

Regnery: "I'm not even sure who he is."

Narrator: One week after talking to Regnery, FRONTLINE obtained a copy of a letter addressed to Sun Myung Moon. The letter was written by James Gavin, a Moon aide. Gavin tells Moon he reviewed the "overall tone and factual contents" of Inquisition before publication and suggested revisions. Gavin adds that the author "Mr. Sherwood has assured me that all this will be done when the manuscript is sent to the publisher." Gavin concludes by telling Moon, "When all of our suggestions have been incorporated, the book will be complete and in my opinion will make a significant impact.... In addition to silencing our critics now, the book should be invaluable in persuading others of our legitimacy for many years to come."

Narrator: Although he refused an on-camera interview, Carlton Sherwood told Frontline that the Unification Movement exerted no editorial control over his book.

Narrator: When we visited Gavin's office in McLean, Virginia, our request for an interview was refused.

A4: "Read the book 'inquisition' by Carlton Sherwood".
What was not said is that this book was paid for by the Washington Times.

Sherwood claims that he accepted a temporary staff position, because he "hoped to accomplish what until then no reporter had been
able to do: to penetrate the organizational and financial structure of
the Unification Church" (p. 16). In other words, he wanted to uncover
new dirt on Moon and add him to his trophy case.

This is not credible: Sherwood had a history of publishing about
religious corruption. The WT would never had hired him without getting
data about his past. What has most probably happened is that they have
provided him with more PR than anyone else - he basically became a Moonie mouthpiece.

A review of this book (not even totally negative) by the "Christian
Research Institute" can be found at
http://www.iclnet.org/pub/resources/text/cri/cri-jrnl/crj0133a.txt

Here is the opinion of Dennis Smith <dsmith@Access.Digex.Com >:
I have read the book "Inquisition." I found it to be an interesting book but I do have several concerns. There is a tremendous amount of information about the Unification Movement publicly available to anyone willing to take the time to locate it. A good portion of the information is generated from disinterested third parties. The book does not reflect any type of analysis of the volumes of information that are available. I am also troubled by the apparent lack of interest in the issue by the author after the book was published. Most authors promote their books and respond to critisim. Sherwood has never been heard from. As far as I know he has never given an interview about the book. Never gave a speech to any organization about the book, and never responded to any allegations that he simply
wrote the book for the SMM and took the money and ran.

There is little evidence to suggest Sherwood did any research on his own for the book he wrote. A review of the book shows he does not include any of the volumes of information from federal agencies and others that were supposedly persecuting Moon. A reporter of Sherwood supposed stature should have interviewed persons and collected information from as many people and sources as possible. How could someone write a book about such a controversial subject like Sun Myung Moon and not interview his opponents. I have sent FOIA requests to federal agencies to see if he had filed any FOIA requests for information. At this point absent statements from Sherwood himself I have been unable to determine where he got his information.

And more skepticism from the (anti)moonie forum discussing Sherwood:

http://tinyurl.com/2hdtd
How could Sherwood have a whole chapter about deprogrammers and not interview any deprogrammers? How could he not interview anyone associated with the Cult Awareness Network or the American Family
Foundation? These two organization contained large volumes of
information about the church. Why wasn't he interested in any of it?
It looks like the only information Sherwood used for the book was
provided by church members. This information would be bias.

...It is clear that this was a Moonie run and financed operation throughout though. The book reads just like the Moonie-handbook on Moonie-mythology. It is so bad, so obvious, that it seems like he wrote down word for word, one of Bo Hi Pak's speeches. It was embarassing. There didn't even seem to be an attempt at making the Moonie arguments appear as if they were really Sherwood's conclusions. Moon had a story he wanted told, and Sherwood took the cash to write it for him.
There is no decency and honesty in that. It was a Moonie-generated myth. Just like most everything else Moon pays for. All lies, all distorted, all bigger than life. But the truth is always a pesky little problem.

Here again you are wrong in your belief. As I have previously posted
Convicted Felon Sun Myung Moon admitted in a sworn deposition to federal agents that the money he failed to pay taxes on was in fact his personal money he had received in the form of a loan to purchase stock in a bank. Of course you wouldn't know this from reading Sherwood's book he did not include any information in the book that would portray Moon in a bad light.

There are so many layers to these filthy scumbags, it's hard to get people to understand it.. That's the beauty of their 30 year plan..They built a multi-layered ,intricately intertwined organization that defies easy comprehension..

And the crowning glory.. they have conditioned the public to "follow the shiny object, and zone out after 60 seconds".. so their chance of being exposed for what they are...is slim at best..:(

4. I figured it out. Here's the fiendish plan
It's all about establishing a new christian empire based on corporatist states and radical free market economy. With Lahaye publishing the "Left Behind" series as the mythical blueprint that will ensure the faithful populations to follow them into continual war. The outcome of this imperial hegemony (it's hoped) will be a single controlling world government for the haves, and lots of dollar slave labor for the rest of us.

The ignorant will be converted to Christ, and Rev. Moon will manufacture a second coming that will make the Y2K new years look like a pizza run. At this point I have no doubt that certain of these puppet masters are convinced the public will be that ignorant and malleable when the time comes, and are thinking that far ahead.

Prepare for lots of war, lots of carnage, Christian themed marketing ads on radio TV and periodicals, plenty of oportunities to clear your conscience, repent and join the ascendent party of Christ (formerly the Republican party).

Originally Moon recommended to his cult that he was the second coming. I suspect he's been off the farm long enough now to know he can't really get away with that, but cults have always been a fine way to raise money to pay for the private political ventures of their founders.

Cults have often been used to disguise revolutionary intent as well. If the dominionist cult really gains traction in America in the next few years some of us dissenters may just have to start our own Bible cells...er...I mean Bible circles.

7. Heads up, jokerman...moonwatcher replies to your post:

He hasn't backed off that a bit. He has said it many times, starting forcefully in 1993. I think the line is 'let them who have ears' or something like that...the world's ears are plugged.

8. That's interesting
That's interesting Moon hasn't backed off from his claims of divinity. He's either mad, or calculates there's still plenty of pumpkin heads left in the world who are predisposed to believe surrealist shit like that.

Or maybe PT Barnum was right...

Also, thanks for the pat on the back. It's nice to be acknowledged from time to time.

THE Unholy Alliance -

Christianity & The NWO
Part I
EXCLUSIVE TO RENSE.COM

The Bilderbergs.
The Trilateral Commission.
The Council of Foreign Relations.
The Central Intelligence Agency.

Most everyone has heard of these groups and some of the conspiracy theories surrounding them regarding the development of the 'New World Order.'

Now imagine for a moment there is something to this (and there appears to be no lack of documented material justifying these theories). That would mean that at almost every elevated level of business and government, world wide, men and women have infiltrated, become the controlling administrators and are working to effectively control every aspect of the life of the "world citizen."

One aspect of this that has not been properly searched out is the "religious" connection. Surely, given that much of the world is religious, and in the currently reigning SuperPower nation of the U.S., predominantly "Christian," then it would only make sense that these organizations have infiltrated the Church itself and are also actively leading it to into the New World Order as well.

Do the worlds leading Christian evangelicals have ties to these organizations?

Yes they do, and it is thoroughly documented.

http://www.rense.com/general20/unholy.htm

Excerpt from part II

Part 1 of this article, "The Unholy Alliance: Christianity & The NWO" dealt generally with the relationship between this nations' leading evangelicals, Rev Sun Myung Moon, and the U.S. Intelligence community as strange bedfellows. This short follow up will attempt to go deeper into the makeup of these organizations, and how they work together. Every attempt to document the claims, statements and facts herein have been made so as not to unjustly accuse or impugn the integrity of those mentioned. But in the end, if such an unholy alliance exists, there are manifold truths which likely will never surface to the light of day for exposure and examination. We will deal with what can be verified be reasonable sources.

Amazingly, most of these organizations are almost entirely made up of the same individuals. Trinity Broadcasting Network, Christian Broadcasting and most leading evangelicals/pastors in this unique electronic limelight are also directly associated with these groups, or have been in the past. The vast majority of these men have spent decades making forays into political groups of this nature.

The question is, what are they doing? Where would these 'Moon money men' lead the flock they say God has charged them with as shepherds? Is it untoward to ask such questions, to scrutinize their political involvement with Moon? We think not. In fact, we feel it is imperative.

We have already shown that some evangelicals have unabashedly admitted Moon sponsorship, such as Jerry Falwell. It seems that most though try to sweep this dirt under the rug. Is their ultimate goal to lead the religious right blindly and willingly into the NWO, something openly hailed by preachers and president's alike?

What does God want with a gun company?
Now that the Senate has shot down a bill to protect gun companies from lawsuits, Reverend Moon's pistol company Kahr Arms is fair game. A lawsuit mentioned here describes how the family of Danny Guzman, killed with a 9mm stolen from the Kahr factory, is suing the company -- which they accuse of failing to protect their firearms from "drug-addicted criminals" working on the staff.
One of Moon's easily-concealed guns was also used in 2003 to kill New York city councilman James Davis.

Moonies to hold press conference on "ideal" of non-gay marriage
Adopting some of President Bush's language, rather than Moon's ("dung-eating dogs," Stalinist purges, etc.), the Moonies will talk about gay marriage in a one-day symposium.

Visiting the Washington Times's one-click Holy Robe store
Dear Family Federation Shop,

What gives? I tried to order Holy Robes listed at $150. But when I was taken to the shopping cart, I was told they'd cost $183.

sincerely,
John

Dear John,

Sorry about the cofusoin. Please read details of the holy robe order:Total cost is $200 ($150 + $50 shipping). However, due to the limitation ofthe shopping cart function (shipping fee is caluculated by total cost), wehad to put $183 for the item in order to charge $200 totally. The holy robewill be shipped from Korea directly, and it is not domestic shipping. The page for check-out shows $183, but we charge same amount, $200 ($183 +$17).

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

Best regards,

Tom Tanemori

Once upon a time there was a moocow
Dublin, California mistaken for exciting world travel stop:
A researcher for a high-profile Sacramento public-relations firm mistook the local Dublin for the one in Ireland, contributing to a mass mailer this week that attacked Assembly candidate Tom Pico as a "world traveler at taxpayer expense." The mailer mistakenly claimed Pico took taxpayer-funded junkets to Ireland and China as mayor of Pleasanton. As a furor erupted about the mailer Tuesday, David Town-send, founder and president of Townsend, Raimundo, Besler and Usher, said the firm will send out another mailer immediately apologizing to Pico and candidate Alberto Torrico, whom the mailer apparently intended to support.
(As heard on Harry Shearer's Le Show)

Surreal
As unsettling as anything in a David Cronenberg movie or Being John Malkovich, here's footage of Gerald Ford and others making opening speeches for Rev. Moon in 1996. Watch, at 22:59, as the Washington Times owner takes the stage and begins a speech, in hysterical tones accompanied by an English translator who sounds like Stimpy, about God's "wanting to see this horizontal love relationship completed." In the audience, former governors and Maureen Reagan nod listlessly.
You'll want DSL to view this enormous file, which the Moonies couldn't figure out how to stream correctly.
