9. Widened driveway?

That blacktop looks like its been recently widened. Can anyone place this photo on WH grounds? If so, any idea why they would widen the driveway? Looks plenty wide enough for emergency vehicles as is.

An article posted on Buzzflash yesterday (Sorry, I can't remember the author) said that when Bush was dedicating a memorial in a park, then having a fundraiser (of course) the secret service came with the message that "His feet shall not touch the ground" and forced the locals to pave, clear, and put bark on every area that Bush was going to be.

Frankly, I'm not surprised. The only thing that surprised me was that he didn't require red velvet carpets.

Anyway, they might have widened the driveway so that Bush wouldn't be at risk of muddying his Majesty's feet, should he slip from a Seguay again or stumble.
