Response to Conservatives when they bash Clinton on Iraq
When cons, neo-cons, eschatologists, republicans and other "morans" (yes, I know the word is spelled moron) harp on Clinton's approach to Iraq being one of containment and that containment doesn't work, the appropriate response is:

Yes, in fact containment does work. Proof? No WMD in Iraq. No dead US soldiers in Iraq.

1. The Cold War was 45 years of containment

Containment works! The other flaw in their argument is that for 50 years Republicans never liked the idea of using US military force as a mean to encourage democracy (maybe for other reasons, but not democracy) but now they flip flop...

2. Use the quotes of Cheney, Powell & Rice against them
Somebody with better searching skills than me, but in 2001, Dickie Cheney, Colin Powell & Condi Rice all said that the policy of containment against Iraq was working. I think one of them even went so far as to brag that Iraq was not even a conventional weapons threat anymore... Cheney's quote was in the days following 9/11 as well.

3. The Big Dog's words
http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/07/23/clinton.iraq.sotu/

"So I thought it was prudent for the president to go to the U.N. and for the U.N. to say, 'You got to let these inspectors in, and this time if you don't cooperate the penalty could be regime change, not just continued sanctions.'"

"People can quarrel with whether we should have more troops in Afghanistan or internationalize Iraq or whatever, but it is incontestable that on the day I left office, there were unaccounted for stocks of biological and chemical weapons."

4. just point out all of the republican politicians who were against action
in Iraq when Clinton suggested it when he was in office. I think it was '98 or somewhere in there. Pretty much all those who voted for it in '03 voiced negative feelings towrd it in '98. Saying Clinton was using it as a distraction for things going on with his personal llife
