Has the Dean Defense Team responded to LIEberman's attacks?
Have they flooded CNN, LIEberman's email, and the DLC?

1. Dean has a skilled, top-notch team.
Of all the dem candidates, he's the best at counter-punching.

2. Don't know
I'm not part of the DDF, but I just kind of ignored it because it's Lieberman. The man is an irrelevant joke.

16. You're right about that & I hope that Dean will ignore him too
What's Joe thinking, running his own party down, and kissing Bush's rear every time he can.

Go DEAN

4. Hello everyone
I have been lurking on these boards for a while but I just now became a member and the things Lieberman said today angered me so much I decided this should be my first post. He really went over the top on this one, how will a real progressive Democrat ever get anywhere when 75% of the party is bought and sold by the same people as the Taliban Party? I don't want to go Green because I believe it would take decades to build a new progressive party that could challenge conservatives at a national scale but when some of our "Democrats" speak out like Lieberman today it is really tempting. When the party is as divided as it is right now with no hold on congress it was highly irresponsible for Lieberman to say what he did. I hope he goes down in flames because if he is the nominee I don't think I could support him.

5. Hi!
Welcome to DU. It is frustrating for sure. Hang in there. I think as divided we are now, we are going to be equally united after the primaries. We have a great group, and if we all work hard enough, we can pull it off in 2004.

:hi:

9. Welcome Aboard DU2, BayCityProgressive!
Very Good first post! Glad you're aboard! :kick:

I just hope the Dean team comes out and counters everything lieberman had to say.

I really don't think lieberman has a chance so that helps me but I still get pissed that he's even running. So disgraceful!

7. The only chance Lieberman has at the nomination is if the DLC...
forces Kerry, Edwards, and Gephardt to drop out in order to put all their eggs in one basket in a desperate move to prevent an antiwar candidate from winning the nomination.

I don't see Kerry stepping down for anyone, particularly a gnome like Lieberman.

8. What's with the LIEberman crap?
You may not like him (I am not overly fond) but please don't adopt the derogatory names the Freepers use to insult Lieberman.

19. LIEberman is a name the Freepers use.
If you want to sound like one of them, fine. Lieberman, although not my favorite candidate, is a far cry better than anyone the Repubs will ever run.

10. Gov. Dean's response to Joe Lieberman
Edited on Sun Aug-03-03 07:38 PM by w4rma
...
Meanwhile, Dean struck back at a primary rival, Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, who warned on Friday that Dean’s opposition to the war in Iraq and his push for complete repeal of the Bush tax cuts could be a “ticket to nowhere’’ for Democrats on Election Day 2004.

“I disagree with Joe,” Dean said. “He’s served this country well, but he’s been on the wrong side of a lot of issues and I simply disagree with his assessment. I think my policies are a ticket to the White House.’’
