About how many people have quit looking for work in the last 3 months? |
|
I am just curious. I have started going back to school part time in January. I have not actively been seeking employment since December because I got sick of looking for jobs which I stood a lousy chance of getting, and most of them were sales jobs which I hate anyways.
Today was supposed to be the biggest job fair in the state of CO. I had been there 4 times last year and I thought it was terrible. THough, I have said that I hate job fairs. I sure as hell am not going to the fair. I know that I should look in the papers every week but I am sick of this. Many Democrats blame the Bush supply-side/trickle-down economy for this.

I'm about to quit looking and just go to school. I am starting a credential program in June. I hope to at least have part-time work by then. For now, my husband supports me while I take whatever crumbs (i.e. freelance writing gigs) I can get!
I lost my job of five years last June as part of a department-wide layoff. 50 of us lost our jobs. Three were moved to Arizona, two were moved offshore to India, and the rest were just "absorbed" into other existing positions in our California and Arizona facilities.
I was a Web Editor.
