Seems the video tape was "highly classified". This is the tape they are touting as the "missed opportunity" by Clinton. Karl Rove maybe?

4. Folks this is serious don't kid yourselves this was a MAJOR

mistake by the shrub's gang. This exposes methods, capabilities and technology and the tape would only have been viewed and available to a select few high level people. No one but the analyst and the top echelon of Intel and the executive branch would have seen this little on have a copy. note the copying and dissemination of classified material is one the highest crimes. Somebody is going down over this one. The CIA may let them play off the Plame thing but this is the intentional copying and release of classified info.

5. Something smells about the whole affair...

Who released and why?? Who did they want to see it - us or the terrorists? Is this just a piece of intelligence that is being used to get the terrorists to "play their hand"? Could it be that think they might know where Osama is hiding and this little piece of propaganda may get the response they are looking for - from a certain area they are presently scoping out?

Whatever the reason, i do not think it is a simple leak. It has been leaked for a purpose? The question is: What is that purpose?

The tape is supposed to be from 2000, I think, i.e., it's still all Clinton's fault.

So use this to paint the former President and, by association, all Democrats, as unwilling to do what's necessary for American security.

And note this came on the heels of the latest Bush ad attacking Kerry on....defense and terrorism.

I see no other reason to release this. They wouldn't want terrorists to see it because they don't want terrorists to know when/how we watch them. And again, it's from 4 years ago.

As you said, again they are trying to blame Clinton. Thing is, after Bush took office, they didn't send any surveillance drones over there again. That sounds like LIHOP.

* Discontinue surveillance drones over Afghanistan.
* After 9/11 can't catch OBL.
* Assist the bin Ladens in getting out of the country without speaking to FBI.
* Distract voters from catching OBL by planning war in Iraq.
* Don't mention the name OBL for at least six months leading up to the Iraq war.
* Morph the name Osama into Saddam to move the lemmings into hate Saddam mode.
* The bin Ladens helped set Dubya up in business. Bush can't let Osama get caught, it would be disloyal to royal oil.

Bush feels he has to defeat Kerry in the election. No one has told Kerry that it is just a game of hide and seek with OBL. If Kerry gets elected, he might actually capture Osama for real. Osama may have to do jail time or worse. Bush doesn't want any of his buddies to do hard time, not Osama, not Kenny Boy Lay and not the person who leaked the Plame story and not the person who leaked this story.

1 Blame the whole 911 on the Clinton Admin.

2 Hang it on a defector inside the CIA or Pentagon.

I have been seeing a recent jumping off the sinking ship by members of the inteligence comunity. Heard one on the newstalk show this morning talking about Office of Special Operations and PNAC. She was really hanging out the Bush Admin to dry. They need to shut these defectors up and there is no easier way then to declare an emergency.

Rummy will put a gag order on the entire lot and then pin some poor patsy as an example of those who talk.

10. it's bullshit. Remember in fall of 2001 or perhaps early 2002

a predator drone spotted the exact same thing in the mountains -- some guy in a white robe, exactly the same deal.

They blew him to bits.

They sent a group of soldiers up into the area to pull the bloody bits out of the snow to do DNA testing on him.

I believe I heard later that tests proved that it wasn't Bin laden.

An arab in a white cloak does not a bin laden make.
