His next trip down, a reporter and a camera crew were allowed to follow along on skis — just in time to see Mr. Kerry taken out by one of the Secret Service men, who had inadvertently moved into his path, sending him into the snow.


When asked about the mishap a moment later, he said sharply, "I don't fall down," then used an expletive to describe the agent who "knocked me over."


I think that Kerry needs to be careful with his mouth. I am sure the repugs are going to try to make him look like he doesn't care for "the little people". He has got to get his "intensity" under control.

I can't believe anyone would think it's ok to call a Secret Service Agent a vulgar name. These men are out there to protect him, look out for him and if necessary, take a bullet for him. Accidentally getting in Kerry's way does not call for this kind of behaviour. It concerns me that he doesn't watch his language closer in front of the press. These kind of slips could hurt him.

Actually, I ski some, and you are responsible for avoiding people in front of you, so, in addition, it sounds like the collision was Kerry's fault. I really wish that he would come out and apologize. Then I would like him to quit cussing so much, because I don't think that it helps.

I also would not put it below Rove and gang from trying to orchestrate things to provoke Kerry's temper.

10. This publicity is such a deal with devil. Kerry gets a lot of mileage out

of the "action" pictures. But it's so obvious that to get the picture of him snowboarding, you have subject yourself to the inevitable class distinctions.
