I know people think Alan Colmes is not a great example of democratic talk show personality, but I enjoy his night time show (believe you me, if Malloy was on === I wouldn't listen to him). He streams through http://www.klif.com/ in Dallas.

and I love Faux's commercials for him... Does Alan Colmes drive you nuts? Call up and give him a piece of your mind... something to that effect -- like they'd ever give that treatment to any of their beloved right wing hosts. He's on all these right wing networks having right wing guests, with him playing the part of a moderate acting as a liberal.

2. Why not call and show the RW listeners

he has support in his "moderate acting as a liberal" views. I would think it would drive the listeners nuts if lots of progressive/liberals called in.

more of us should try to reach out to him, or tell him off if we think he's too timid on TV.

either way, i think we as Dems would benifit more from engaging him than from shunning him.

He's a "liberal" and only freepers call? He's been shunned by alot of people as being a "sell out" and I'm not arguing that point. But he is given the Fox label of "liberal" and it just seems wrong he gets very few calls from liberal/progressives. I kinda proves their point that Liberals talk show hosts don't attract their own and would not be successful.

Combs allows himself to be a cartoon "liberal" figure intentionally, allows Hannity to beat up on that cartoon figure, and never refuses to cash the checks FAUX makes out to him to do it.
