Kerry takes GOP best shots and is still standing toe to toe with Bush
Edited on Sat Mar-20-04 02:55 PM by PA-DEM
After a week from hell and from taking the best Rove and the GOP could throw at him, 3 new polls have Kerry standing toe to toe with Bush.

Zogby
Keery-46
Bush-46

Newsweek
Kerry-48
Bush-48

Rasmussen
Bush 46
Kerry-45

If this is the best a week from hell could do for Bush, I say bring it on.

1. Hey, let's learn something from the misadministration
Don't ever say "bring it on!" You never know what calamities you'll bring down on our house.

2. I think the best thing about this is that
the Bush* admin has already played its two biggest cards, taxes and defense. Kerry, by contrast, has a practically endless reserve of things he can use against Bush* throughout the campaign. People will get bored with the "taxes and defense" thing, but if Kerry pulls new things out of his hat every week, we're keepin' it fresh and looking good.

Furthermore, most people say that the economy is the most important issue, with Iraq a distant second and the war on terror way down there with like 4% in some polls. Kerry's strength is #1 on people's minds, Bush's supposed strengths (I'm not saying they are, just that they're supposed to be) aren't big issues.

I don't see how Bush* can go anywhere but down from here.

3. What happens when
Edited on Sat Mar-20-04 03:12 PM by PA-DEM
-When gas prices next month hit an all time record average of $1.78 A gallon. By the end of summer Bush will be finished in my opinion.
-When this 60 minutes interview hits every media outlet come Monday morning.
-When it is revealed who in the WH leaked the Plame info.
-When as will be brought back to the attention of Americans this Tuesday and Wednesday when the testimony of Albright, Clinton and Gore, that Bush was warned by the Clinton administration about the immediate threat of Bin Laden.
I am feeling really good about the months ahead.

4. You are right about all that and there is much more to come.
I think we will be seeing some heavy hitters coming out for Kerry and they won't all be Dems. I don't have any inside info but I can see it in the cards.
