Just got back from my first protest.

It was real fun. Since I live in Alabama it wasn't as big as it was in other places, but still fun. We had about 7 speakers. One was a former Veteran who asked people to not join the army, talk to those who are going to the army and help those who are having second thoughts. We had an Iraqi-American speak. The rally was also about stopping the occupation of Palestine. We had a Muslim and Jew talk about how Jews, Muslims and Christians are working together in Israel to work for peace. There were Kucinich people there as well. I really enjoyed it and I really envy those in New York and other places who had huge marches, but that is the life of a liberal in Alabama.
