My brother and one of my uncles went to West Point, my other brother was a Marine, then switched to the army and was dug in in Kuwait during Gulf War I. This same brother was in Beirut during that awful time during the 80s. My other uncle retired as a lt. col. in the army, having seen action in Burma as a Merills Marauder during WWII, Panama, Turkey, two tours in Vietnam. My father was in the Merchant Marine and fought in Korea. My nephew is currently in Iraq, stationed in Fallujah. I am more than familiar with the people that make the decision to go to war are either blinded by their delusions of grandeur or are just plain crazy. I will continue to say it. How about having an army to keep the peace, not wage war?

None of them think bush*'s war did anyone except perhaps Halliburton any good, and they won't vote for bush* ever again, yet they made the sacrifice because with these people when you sign up to do something you do it.

She was also the first female combat death in bush*'s war. There have been other female soldiers killed in Iraq: Pfc. Analaura Esperaza Gutierrez, Pfc. Rachel Bosveld, Pfc. Karina Lau, Spc. Frances Vega, Chief Warrant Officer Sharon Swartworth and Staff Sgt. Kimberly Voelz among them.
