So now we know Bush's attacks on Kerry failed.

1. Bush Preferred If Terror Hits US
Dang. Quick, hide this before Bush sees it:

"If a major terrorist attack were again to hit the United States, 51% of likely voters prefer to be led by Bush as compared to Kerry with 40%."

Maybe if the Clarke accounts gain traction, mainstream reporting will focus on why this is faulty reasoning....yeah, right.

4. That's still not bad, even after 60 minutes...
I honestly don't think the 60 minutes thing is going to have any more impact than anything else has. Sad as that is to say.

But in any event considering that is supposedly his "strength", that's really not a large gap to overcome. Especially since most people don't really know much about Kerry yet (other than hardcore dems).

5. The Bush gang must believe this
otherwise you wouldn't have Shrub himself out there on the attack this early, like here:

Bush Declares Kerry a Serial Tax-Raiser

ORLANDO, Fla. - President Bush used the first rally of his re-election campaign to cast Democrat John Kerry on Saturday as a serial tax-raiser who has voted for tax increases 350 times. He also mocked Kerry's claims of support from undisclosed foreign leaders.

6. What's up with calling him "Massachusetts Senator John Kerry"?
First of all, it isn't correct. He is a UNITED STATES Senator.
Second, I can't shake the suspicion that the media is carrying the water for Bush (next will they be calling him 'Massachusetts Liberal Washington Insider John Kerry'??).
