1. that seems fair
won't do her any good though. She's just a liar, and as long as she won't go under oath like her accuser, there's nothing she can say that will be believed.

2. I agree. People are probably getting a little tired of her right now.
Clarke is a "fresh" face while Condi is a known quantity.

3. Lying is the only reason she has a job
All she can do is lie. Thats why she was appointed national security adviser.

4. As long as they ask...
"Why should the American public believe that you are telling the truth when you won't testify under oath"?

6. Geez
Does Goldberg actually have any friends left at CBS that would leak that info to him? Anyhow, i have no problem with her going on there at all, i think i'll be paying close attention to how much her eyes dart around.

7. I don't want to see or hear Condi until I see her hand raised before the
9/11 Committee. The media should stop giving her unchallened time on the air. But then, the more they do, the more it angers people...even some Freepers.

9. I agree
If they had any sense they would just let the whole thing drop. All they (Busheviks) are doing is prolonging the bad publicity. A very bad plan, but what else is new from these criminals?

10. Getting In The Last Word
On GOOP tactic is always to get the last shout in. On Faux this is as easy as cutting off a Democrats mike...on other networks it requires creative dancing.

As someone very astutely noted, RoveCo. must debunk Clarke at all costs and to stay on him like a bad cold until he goes away. It worked with others, like Paul O'Neill, who has all but vanished into a hidey-hole since his trashing by the Rove character assasination machine. Clarke isn't going away, so the attacks need to continue.

Throwing Condi on 60 minutes gives them the last word on the weekend shows (especially now that Clarke will be with Timmy) and to start the spin for the week ahead. Sunday night always is the best to launch a message, too...witness how effective Clarke's appearance was last week.

The regime is obsessed with Clarke as he has unpants them in ways they hadn't planned...and one that is damaging with several constiutencies this regime thought it had, but now sees its losing...the military and old-guard/country club Repugicans.

The Clarke trashing is purely for internal GOOP benefit only. What we say or do...or Kerry for that matter...is of little importance as the regime is definitely shadow boxing with a bunch of their own lies. Ahhh...there is Kharma!

Unless Condi comes on and says she's going to testify, live and under oath, there's no other story that she can create here. If she sticks to the same-old spin, then she's defending (looks weak), if she backtracks, then she's even weaker (and this regime is too stubborn and irresponsible to let her backtrack too far)...it's a lose-lose.

Get out the popcorn, Sunday looks like lots of great basketball and now some real political hardball.

Cheers!
