The thread on the Daily show being probobaly the only TV who is reporting the truth got me to thinking about their print cousins at the Onion have been doing the same thing.

It indeed has come to this. A DU'er in that Daily show thread pointed out how in a totalitarian society, the comedians are the only ones allowed to tell the truth. Satire like the Daily Show and the Onion have replaced the type hard-hitting, tough-question asking, news-analyzing media we had 35 years ago.
