He opened the show by saying that Bush has come under blistering attack from Clarke and Democrats, but that it is helping him against Kerry in the polls.
We know this is a lying sack of crap analysis, spread deep by CNN in the last hour.
Any change in the polls has to do with advertising, not Clarke.

4. One of the major GOP propaganda tactics |
|
And the sheeple keep falling for it. Happens every time. They start repeating "people's reaction is X", and repeating, and repeating, and after a while, the sheep starts feeling like he/she is the only sheep in the herd not reacting X, and gets him/herself in line.
The Wellstone memorial service and the Dean Scream are two major examples I can think of off the top of my head. "People are outraged!", they start parroting, when there is no indication of outrage at all. A few weeks later, you'll be hearing from your coworkers: "yeah, that was outrageous!", and they'll even believe that they were outraged from the very beginning.
Totalitarian propaganda 101.

10. Exactly--Totalitarian Propaganda 101 is RIGHT! |
|
However, the technique was pioneered not by Hitler, but by US Advertisers, because Hitler didn't need this type of Propaganda. He didn't need to "manufacture consent" he just beat the crap out of people.
Different countries, different customs, same Totalitarians.
And the Busheviks have taken all that "progress" in the field of psychomanipulation and applied it like the grandchildren of "Hitler's Angel", which Dubya Bush is...

They were doing the same thing to Dean in the week before the Iowa caucus. Then it was "people have doubts about Dean's electability" (repeat a thousand times).

15. Brainwashing and Propaganda techniques being used in the media. |
|
From the article Brainwashing America by Dr. Norman Livergood. In an earlier article, I reviewed the varied aspects of personality profiling and simulation. While serving as Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department at the U.S. Army War College, 1993-1995, I conducted studies on profiling, psychological programming, and brainwashing. I explored and developed personality simulation systems, an advanced technology used in military war games, FBI profiling, political campaigning, and advertising. Part of my discovery was that:
unenlightened human minds are combinations of infantile beliefs and emotional patterns
these patterns can be simulated in profiling systems
these profiling systems can be used to program and control people
Personality simulation systems are being used to create political campaigns that apply voter profiles to control their voting behavior. TV commercials and programs use personality simulation to profile viewers to control their purchasing and viewing behaviors. And sophisticated propaganda and brainwashing techniques are being used by the Bush junta to keep American citizens under control. (emphasis mine /jc) http://www.hermes-press.com/brainwash1.htm

don't waste your time (or risk apoplexy) watching shows like "Crossfire." "Crossfire" is a game show, right down to the dinging bells. It's not intended to inform or to advance serious discussions. It's pure silliness -- thus the spin (I don't think it even rises to the level of spin) that Clarke is hurting Kerry. Do what I do: turn to the Cartoon Network to witness some serious renditions of psychodynamics!

has a book coming out in May, and Publishers Weekly has already said he will be naming the White House higher-ups who leaked the Plame story to Novak. Novak's about to sit right back down into the hot seat. Enjoy it while the temperature is still mild, Novak. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x1308267
