We all know Fox is biased, but have you watched CNBC lately?

Could they be any more transparent? I was just flipping around and landed on "Capitol Report" on CNBC. They did a piece on how many residences Kerry has and how much they're worth, complete with this really annoying "cha-ching!" sound effect followed by the value of the property stamped in red on the screen. At the end of this multi-minute piece, to be "fair" they spent maybe 10 seconds (give or take a second, literally) on Bush saying he has a "million dollar ranch in Texas" and he "frequently visits the family compound in Kennebunkport, Maine"-- no sound effects, no exact dollar value, no red stamp. I've tried to avoid this show before, it really does rival anything you'd see on Fox.

Fox's blatant and obvious bias has undoubtedly served them well to date. Furthermore, their persistent tendency towards controversy and outrageousness has encouraged other broadcasters to follow their lead.

I'm left to conclude that either a) Americans are tremendously stupid and gullible or b) we just don't give a shit. Either way, I think that it's a travesty that a network with such a blatant disregard for the public interest is licensed to broadcast on public airwaves. This is especially true and especially frustrating during a political campaign season.
