I'm pleased to say my nephew has just left Iraq!
He called me tonight from Shannon, Ireland where he arrived after stops in Kuwait and Sicily. The champagne is flowing in the Sunshine State tonight! :toast:

I asked him if he had an idea of what the other soldiers thought about shrub. He said he would estimate 90% "thumbs down" and that the general feeling there is that the soldiers didn't like what they heard, but they also were often not provided much news.

My thoughts tonight also go out to all the other families who are still waiting for their loved ones to come home from this meaningless war.

12. saigon if our kid comes back from Iraq
and I say if , because he might not, and he finds out he might have to go right back, we pretty much have some plans in place to save him from another round.
No one takes us seriously, but they are sending them right back.
Im happy these kids come home, but they are sending them right back people.

7. Great news!
Tis ample cause to celebrate, the homeward journey of any one of our warriors ... crackin' a cold one on your behalf. I know this must be cause for considerable relief and joy on your part. Let us pray they are never sent forth falsely again. Better yet, let's work our asses off to make sure they don't.

13. Now, take your "tears of joy", and surround Mari333 with all the support
Edited on Tue Mar-30-04 09:42 PM by anarchy1999
she never thought was possible.

I'm am so glad your son is home. Now let us all here support all those who have loved ones there. We need to get them all home, now. Yes, we made a mistake, that does not mean it is right to stay there. I believe 100% in what Kucinich has to say, it was wrong to go and it is wrong to stay. Give it all over to the UN. This nation, the US of A, has done nothing but screw it up. I don't want to take care of or feel the heartbreak for all the people we have contaminated with DU (depleted uranium).

Please keep you and yours safe and fight for all the rest. Make your voices be loud and strong.

18. His fort is in Wisconsin
Sorry, not sure of the unit, but I think it's what they call a mechanizd unit. He lives in Mich., but his fort is in Wisconsion.

He's in the Army Reserves.

I hope your family member comes home safe.
