Do We Need A Progressive, Or A Fighter?
Edited on Wed Aug-06-03 10:59 PM by devarsi
Some say Dean can't win because he's a centrist, not a progressive, but whether Dean is to the left, right, or the center depends on who is speaking.

Rush says far left, Leiberman say left, Dean himself says he has always been in the center, and far lefties say Dean is too far to the right.

Right, left, center...no one seems to know.

What I do know is that the man has the intestinal fortitude to take the fight directly to Bush's face, and I think that kind of damn the torpedoes, let's march forward, position is more important (regarding winning the 2004 campaign) than a right/left position, and infinitely better than the backwards retreat that is so common in the Dem leadership these days.

Center, left or right, Dean is pushing the Dems forward into battle, and like the Lotto folks say, you can't win if you dont play.

On edit, snipped the cojones, inserted the intestinal fortitude.

1. We need a fighting moderate who will fix the economic damage
Bush has done.

Howard Dean in 2004.

2. A progressive fighter.
Cojones are a requirement (okay, that's a bit sexist- "intestinal fortitude" is a requirement).

3. Point Taken
"cojones" removed (from the text, I mean--ouch!), "intestinal fortitude" replacement procedure in effect.

7. As I've said before
All of the candidates are "taking the fight directly to Bush's face". Why are Dean people trying to say he's the only one. No one likes Bush and they've all (I'm not sure about Lieberman) spoken out harshly against him. That's a Dem thing, not a Dean thing.

8. So convince me...
that Kucinich has the right stuff to fight the Bushies. Dean has already shown his nerve.

I say this with the broadest mind possible regarding this subject. Convince me!
