O'Whorely Declaring War on DEAN

He has bullied all the other candidates into going on his show. He starts out with re-hashing his trashing of GORE, saying that GORE would have won if he had had the guts to go on his show, but by refusing, enhanced the perception that he "couldn't handle tough questions"------hah!-------that Shrub *did* go on his show.

Now he claims that DEAN got hammered by G.E.RUSSERT and so is now being chicken about going on O'WHORELY. Anybody who has seen O'WHORELY "go after" Jesse JACKSON and others knows what's coming.

So the opening attack was tonight, with a professor from Vermont saying that DEAN's current status as "darling of the Liberals" is "the fake DEAN," that he was seen by VT natives as "Conservative Democrat or Moderate Republican," that he had used "Draconian measures to balance the budget."

O'WHORELY drilled that the NRA loves him. The prof said this is not unusual in VT, that even Senator LEAHY is NRA-friendly, that VT-ers "have lots of guns and shoot them off like crazy during deer season." He also said that DEAN would have had a better gambit as "the REAL DEAN" in the South, but that he will have a harder time getting that out now that he has staked himself out as "the FAKE DEAN" for the early traction.

So far O'WHORELY hasn't tuned in to the latest spin, that it's not so much the Liberal or anti-war core that DEAN has tapped in-to, but rather it's THE HATRED OF SHRUB that he has tapped in to. This has been bouncing off all the yakkers in the last few days.
