Conspiracy theory time....and the fate of the election 2004
ok...so here is what im thinking...everyone put on your tin-foil hats:

"they"* have already caught osama...or atleast they are on him, they know where he is, they have a spy, whatever...

"they" aren't going to catch him, and make it public untill just before the election, so that bush can officially say that the war on terror is going well, etc.

"they" are possibly gunna say that information captured from iraq led to his arrest, or something like that...though this is a stretch i admit.

"they" didnt want to repeat history, and follow bush I's mistake, ending the war too soon before election time, and letting the bad economy take over the headlines...so, osama being captured at the right moment is critical.

what do u guys think...and if he is captured before the election...what do u think the consequences will be?

*they = who ever u want really...we all know bush has ample ties to the CIA underworld, and so on...basically, just fill in they with "vast-right-wing conspiracy"

1. I don't think they could keep a lid on it that long ...
too many military and intelligence guys hate Bush's guts and some of them would know.

They'd be lining up to torpedo the son of a bitch.

2. true...
but there is also a chance that its not our military that has caught him, but rather a black-ops loyal to the BFEE...u know.

3. I've thought of something similar
Although, my theory is that they will wait until Bush is down in the polls and ready to lose, and then will spring him up. This will happen not right before the election but right in the middle of it.

5. I don't buy it
I don't agree that capturing Osama Bin Laden right before the election is going to be better than capturing him now.

Sadaam, on the other hand.....................

7. If that's true, the corporate media will overhshadow everything
with endless stories about Osama (or Saddam if they catch him) and the elections of 2004 will pass by like a lamb.

This is a caricature of tinfoil hatters. There may be a small minority of lefties who would think something so preposterous, but it's nothing compared to the number of dipsh*t freepers who thought Clinton murdered Ron Brown, etc.

The question is not whether the left attracts a few people with marginal world models. That's a given. The question is whether the right attracts a lot more. I always like to remember Tim McVeigh, registered Republican, for example. Then I go over to freeperville every so often and find that most of their posts are two-line trash strained from Rush Limbaugh's toilet.

11. Yes, that was a real response, as you put it, but
I wouldn't put anything past the Bush administration. I don't think it will be regarding a capture of either Osama or Saddam, but I think something truly scary might just happen on November 1 and the majority of voters might suddenly not wish to entertain the notion of "changes horses mid-stream". :puke:

16. Osama's kidney condition
I found out that Osama had a kidney condition requiring regular dialysis -- on a website out of India, not too long after 9-11.

I think he needed dialysis several times a week. Unless he somehow was a transplant candidate and managed to get it done without any undue attention, one can presume he still needs help for those kdneys now OR is dead. Given the illness, which oddly enough was DENIED by the Bushies for some time, it seems to me to be more more likely that he is by now dead.

Given the Saddam statute photo op, and the Jessica Lynch made-for-tv "rescue," does anything think they are too pure and noble to try to control the news and the country's mood right before the election?
