He was pissed at being shown up for the mindless twit that he is. He doesn't listen, he doesn't think, he doesn't lead. He was pissed that this news might interfere with his first real election.

how his talk with the higher authority didn't mention that shit would hit the fan. I guess he also didn't ask him for guidance on civilian integrators either. Alas.

5. Bush is like that tyrannical kid in that Twilight Zone |
|
Bush is so childish. It reminds me of that spoiled, mean little boy in that Twilight Zone episode who forced everyone to be nice and do what just what he said or he would get mad and make them disappear.

9. WOW - I don't think I've ever heard such an apt analogy!!! |
|
I saw that episode for the first time within the past 10 years, and I remember thinking how much it's a fable about people in power, and how insightful it was. Now I can't think of a better way to describe not just Bush, but all the thugs who have changed the repubs to rethugs. Bush is the figurehead at the top, but people like Rove, Cheney, Wolfowitz and Grover Norquist (with the support of RW "think" tanks) have allowed him to think it's OK to be just like that little boy.
I WISH SOMEBODY AT THE TOP OF THE KERRY CAMPAIGN (MAYBE JFK HIMSELF) WOULD WATCH THAT EPISODE AND USE IT IN A SPEECH OR SOMETHING. IT IS SHOCKING!!

6. I don't believe it for a minute. |

If Bush raised his voice to Rummy, the old coot would deck him. Bush is a hapless pussy without a clue what is happening in his administration.

Bush also voiced concern that he was not kept up to speed on important information about the scope of the problem
Well, if you could read you booger eating moron! Maybe if you had an attention span long than the average three year old. Prehaps if you were actually curious about the world and interested in teh real world day to day crap instead of worrying about your fucking image! Maybe then you'd be better informed!

12. Did Clinton ever do that? |
|
I don't ever remember reading about Clinton rebuking (or pretending to rebuke) a cabinet member and then publicizing it. If it is true that Bush rebuked Rumsfeld publicly, then it is inexcusable in a leader. Rumsfeld is Bush's pick for SecDef. The buck stops with Bush (at least publicly).
If this is false and just designed to distance Bush from the scandal, well that's just Rove. It's the kind of politics only acceptable to a certain kind of Republican.
