What Will You (Will You) Be Praying For On Our National Day Of Prayer ???
And isn't that some sort of Constitutional oxymoron???

Me, I'm rooting for a major implosion of the rePublican Party in the next weeks and months.

But I don't pray, so...

3. LOL, That Would Be Nice !!!
Somebody here has as their tag line, a quote from Adlai Stevenson that goes something like:

After some woman shouted to him in a 1956 rally, "Mr. Stevenson, you have the votes of every thinking American!"

To which Stevenson replied, "Madame, that's not good enough. We need a majority!"

LOL!!!

:hi:

4. "Amen!" said the atheist.
"Dear God, please make people not believe you exist anymore so they stop acting like fools beliving that the atrocities they commit in your name are sanctioned by you. A-men. "

8. I don't pray
The only thing I will be doing today is steering clear of Daytona Beach!

<snip>
DAYTONA BEACH -- As many as 10,000 Christians are expected to gather at Daytona International Speedway on Thursday for a National Day of Prayer event organizers hope will put this city on the map -- religiously speaking.

This year the honorary national chairman for the National Day of Prayer is Oliver North, who'll give the keynote address from Washington, D.C. North, who's now an author and Fox News personality, was the central figure in the Iran-Contra affair in the 1980s and an unsuccessful Republican candidate for the Senate in 1994.

The program, which will be televised on various cable channels, also will include live feeds from events in New York City, St. Louis, Mo., and Lancaster, Pa., as well as Daytona Beach, which has become known as having one of the largest prayer gatherings in the country.

16. Fundies don't use the catholic crucifix
of Jesus on the cross. They believe the Catholic cross is and abomination and some actually believe the Catholic Church is a non-Christian cult.

14. nothing
I am reminded of those who "prayed" for our troops at the beginning of the shock and awe. I wondered at that time, what they were praying for , exactly. It was, of course, for a
win over the Iraqis

well, we won, on lies, and murdered an estimated ten thousand innocent people-=--but the prayers were answered. We, at that time, apparently, won. Yipee, for the god.;

It makes no sense at all if anyone at all is concerned with humanity and it's survival.

18. For moral courage and a commitment to
undoing the Reagan revolution on the part of the Democratic Party.

No more shameful votes like the one for Negroponte.

No more being ashamed of their own heritage of standing up for ordinary people.

No more dissing or selling out their most loyal supporters.
