When you have an aggressive and arrogant leader, boasting and prancing in front of the world, his troops will reflect that same attitude. And now, in Iraq, we see the same behavior acted out in a war zone, that Junior Bush acts out on the American political stage. The Republicans can defend the invasion if they wish. They can call the acts of humiliation and torture fraternity stunts, if they wish. But they should not expect me to agree with their idea of America and what they are doing. That is not my America!
The question needs to be asked: Should George W Bush be tried for war crimes? That is how serious this is in the eyes of the rest of the world. But, Republicans don't care about the rest of the world. They get that attitude from the top also. Someone should be held accountable and it should start at the top. I am ashamed of my country.

In the final analysis, it is up to the people fight (at the polls)for the kind of government they want. If we can't organize ourselves and motivate ourselves to unseat what has to be the most corroupt and morally depraved government in the US in history, then we will have deserved the government we get.
No wonder the economy is in the state it is in. The graft is controlling who gets what business and who gets access to suppliers, and who gets favorable legislation. Capitalism in a democray cannot survive with kind of graft and corruption. Sooner or later people will clos up shop rather than try to do business. Many will flee to foreign countries to set up shop. I am beginning to realize that it isn't the tax breaks ALONE that is sending many of businesses out of the country but it probably has to do with the graft and intimidation of our government officials. I think the Congress needs to do investigation into just how much this administration has strong-armed our economy. All this money that Bush is raising is not being raised because most of these people have a heart to give to his political campaign. They are giving out of necessity! I think Wilson has exposed the very tip of a huge iceberg that even the press is a part of under the surface. If only we could get a few brave journalists who love their coutry more than their jobs it might help. If they all banned together it would be better. Afterall, with all of the media EXCEPT FOX and the right wing talkshow nuts, coming out and telling the truth about the threats and stron-arm tactics, what could the WH really do with an informed public?
One more thing: Remember, this is the admin that was caught trying to bride one of its own Congressmen (Smith) to vote for a sham Medicare bill by threatening to ruin his son's political career and by offering money to his son's campaign if he voted for the bill.
