To the Truman State University Community:
On April 29, 2004, Sgt. Ryan M. Campbell, Truman Class of 2001, was killed in action in Baghdad. Sgt. Campbell was a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, 1st Armored Division, 2nd Brigade, when he died in a car bomb attack. A memorial service for Sgt. Campbell will be held at Mary Immaculate Church in Kirksville on Friday, May 7, at 10:00 a.m.
In recognition of Sgt. Campbell's service and sacrifice, I ask that all members of the Truman community observe a minute of silence in his memory at 9:30 a.m., Friday, May 7. At that time the campus carillon will be tolled, and the campus flags will be lowered to half staff for the remainder of the day.
Please join me in extending our sincerest condolences to Sgt. Campbell's family and friends. Barbara Dixon, President

Sorry, don't have a link--the university e-mailed this to me.

I can't find any justification for this war, then or now, so I am sad to say that I think his and every other death has been completely in vain.
