OMG I listened today for the first time, on Air America.
Is that what we on the liberal/left have to offer as an alternative to rightwing talk?
I was bored to tears. She comes across as name calling and not much substance. Who is her co-host in the background? Lame.

I am someone who gets very captivated by listening to Noam Chomsky and the like. Why can't the left get someone with half a brain? I'd rather listen to Alan Colmes.

Of the little I heard today, I was embarassed.

2. Air America has a broad range of programs you can listen to.

Chomsky quality all the time, no. But he has been interviewed in Majority Report with Garofalo.
Choose your programs and do not listen to the others. Some people really go for Randi's style. This is programming with cafeteria offering.

I've been listening to her for about a month now and thinks she screams too much and talks over her callers more than I would like.

BUT...she is very well-informed and has solid information.

And she WILL fight the fight and call out the BS.

I like her better than I used to.

Air America is OK - they're still finding themselves. I've gotten to like the Franken show a great deal, even if Al is "not a radio guy".

Murika isn't going to respond to Noam Chomsky.

Randi can be too abrasive for me sometimes, but I have to allow that she might know what she's doing better than I do. And she does get her facts straight. I've heard several important things from her for the first time, such as about the 12/31/1999 terrorism plot.

Today she was talking about the outrageous maneuvering in the House by the Repugs who are trying to limit the entire torture investigation to the 6 grunts. It's a national disgrace, and so far, Randi's the only one covering it. She was the only one covering the police abuses at the Miami protests a few months ago. She exposed that the money for that came out of the 87billion for Iraq.

She is selling nothing , in other words has not written a book, as Franken has. I listen to Franken but often feel as if he is selling himself.


I like her honest , common man approach, but she certainly has done her homework, something that I often feel Franken has not done. I like
Randi a lot. I will be one of her loyal fans.

Randi is brave, brutallhy honest and refreshing.

but she's got her facts straight! I liked her playing the Congress members minute speeches today. She's right about that too! I'm a watcher of the House of Reps. and there are Democrats standing up and have been standing up for the people since the selection!

Oh, yeah, I'm buying this. "I listened for the first time today." What, do you think we all fell off of turnip trucks or something? I listened for the entire four hours today, and the audio of those Democratic legislators railing about the Bush criminals was anything but boring.

21. I find her well informed

However, I can see how she can rub some folks the wrong way. But, we need feisty Democrats out there that know their stuff - and she does. I don't listen at night, but I've caught bits of Morning Sedition, O'Franken and the show in between those two and none of them competely thrill me, either. However, I think Randi and Franken seem the most informed.

22. I like Randi

I've been listening to her streaming for more than a year now. Back just before the war started, she was the only voice I heard ANYWHERE in the media that was flat-out against the war. I listened to her to stay sane. I learned that she is very informed. I can see where her personality might grate on some people but others find her entertaining. To each his own, right? I believe ours is and should be a big tent. I'm not too crazy about Ed Schultz, that "meat-eatin, gun-totin" liberal talk show host from Fargo but he converted my Right-Wing brother-in-law in the last few months! I also love Noam Chomsky and Thom Hartman is my absolute hero. But they might be too much info and not enough entertainment for some. My self, I am just ecstatic that we finally even have some voices out there to counter all the slime that's been thrown our way in the last decade or so.
