Did Dennis get a make over? (big pictures)
Edited on Sat Aug-09-03 04:20 PM by wheresthemind

Is it just me or does Dennis look GREAT in these pictures? They're from the parade he marched in down in Iowa. Maybe Queer Eye for a Straight guy finally got their hands on him! What do you guys think?

Dennis is "unelectable" people just lost their main argument! : )

By the way... Hes the same height as George!

1. These are great pics.
This is what Dennis looked like when I met him; makeover or no he looks great, and his personality really shines through.

2. Dennis has a new haircut. Definitely improves his appearance.
Your pictures are indeed REALLY big and take a while to load--even on high speed cable--but they are great pics of Dennis.

3. Nope. Still looks like a douche.
*shrugs*

I like the guy, but look at him. He's like the lovechild of Spock and Alfred E. Newman.

4. it is just you
guy looks like a wet rag

in the "Presidential" looks department, gotta go with Edwards, Dean, Kerry, Gephardt as the only ones.

7. Kerry's "presidential looks"
You mean the guy who looks like the original Lurch from the Adams Family?

On looks alone, I could see voting for him for coroner, I guess.

6. You might want to repost this in the Lounge.
I'm not sure that it meets the temporary requirements of GD.

But, I think you're right. He's looking more...hmm...macho, maybe? Anyway, it constitutes a definite improvement to his chances. Frankly, I'm unconcerned with his looks but, on a pragmatic level, I understand about appearance and bearing one must possess to be considered presidential material.

PS Resize the pics! :-)

8. Well, the undersized fire helmet doesn't make it...
But, although Im a Dean man, I will say that this is the best Kucinich has looked.

Interesting that he doesn't wear a wristwatch.

but I hate the squinty look in the bottom one. His hair does look better now. No more pointy looking ears! ;)

He looks like a man who has gotten where he is, on being a good person who uses his brain. In other words one who hasn't had the luxury of relying on his appearance. I for one, believe that simple fact alone, speaks volumes about him. The presidency ain't a fuckin beauty contest, for christ sakes. What the hell is wrong with you people anyway?

Since when in the hell does a president have to have movie star looks? Just LOOK at Ahhhnold (possiblly the next California Governor) and then LISTEN to him speak. He doesn't know anything but what he has a script for. Dennis Kuchinich is a very intelligent man, and I would rather put my trust in him than a second rate movie "actor."

I'm with you 100 percent. It's that heart of his that I love and it shows every time he smiles. I think he needs to do a lot more smiling.

but the main argument against Kucinich has NEVER been "he looks goofy."

I remarked on this after the union debate on cspan. Of course, I always thought he was cute, but the new hairdo is great.

18. Dennis is a people person...and it shows...
I think in addition to the haircut- just being around people who support him & getting out with the people is good for his energy levels. He always seems glad to be with people....I noticed this when I met him...others have also commented on it

This guy is a real human being...I don't see what the deal is about his looks...but then maybe I read the heart of person rather than the surface.....

He's really about the same height as Dean too isn't he??

Peace
DR

Great pics!! (thank heavens for wireless internet LOL)

21. Well, it's a start...
...and you DK boosters should help him out by changing your avatars/sig pics to the "new Dennis."

Also, I think it would be a HUGE move for DK to go on Queer Eye for a Straight Guy...

23. I know that the rest of the country is thrilled with DK, but . . .
unfortunately here in northeast ohio, the general consensus seems to be that people would vote for Jerry Springer before they would vote for Dennis.

And this is from the people who think that Bush is scum. I have a relative who is Catholic and anti-abortion, and he wouldn't vote for Kucinich (unless it was just Bush & Kucinich).

I tried to tell the campaign HQ in Lakewood that DK would do better first as VP material (to get the people used to the idea of him being a serious candidate). As expected, they disagreed. I was on my lunch hour, and had to get back to work, or else I would have had a nice time talking with them.

24. whats their justification?
I don't understand, they hate bush and kucinich even more?

He's extremely popular in Cleveland and his district. Both of which are extremely conservative!
