2. The advantages of President Bush

Kerry can't say this ("A Vote For Bush Is A Vote For Torture"); it would backfire terribly. I presume we all know that.

President Bush doesn't need to see anything shocking; he's got dozens to say it for him (Rush LImbaugh, Cal Thomas, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, etc.)

On the other hand, Kerry doesn't have enough media allies to trumpet the idea that a vote for Bush is a vote for torture. That's not his fault, it's a reflection of how successfully the Right Wing have taken over the media.
