1. Drat! Can't leave L.A. Sure wish there was one here, too.
I would go, and take the kids, as I did with the peace marches.

27. Yep, ,the more cities with protests the more press
Protests and marches in DC are common place. We need simultaneous marches across the country on the same days!

3. Ok lets think about this first - If Bush goes, we get to have Cheney
If Cheney goes, who are we going to be saddled with then? Speaker of the house? That would be Dennis Hastert? How bad is he?

Tom Delay's bitch. Delay calls the shots in the House but he's got problems of his own back home.

oops, I was wrong here. But Hastert was among the ones who apparently 'didn't like the 'Frenchies' and talked about some sort of economic ramification for the French's refusal to support the US on the Iraq issue.

Original post:
"Hastert is the one who really started the whole 'Freedom Fries' silliness
That's maturity and rational thinking for you. :eyes:"
-------
on edit: sorry I'm wrong here. It was Robert Ney (R-Ohio) that put the 'freedom fry' thing in place in the House cafeteria. Hastert said around that time that he was considering 'legislation against French wine and mineral water.'

Something to SERIOUSLY consider folks! Only, I wonder if we should WAIT until July 4. That's 45 or so days away...a long time the way things are unfolding these days.

21. Good point - July 4th was for the symbolism
But maybe it should be sooner - to show the world we really do care about these atrocities and we will hold our "elected" officials accountable . . .

Let's get this moving . . . a website is being created . . . let's settle on a date and go from there . . .

Does anyone have any connections to the music industry?

Blood is on the hands of our Lady MacBush.

Out damn bush! Out, I say!!

26. TEARS OF RAGE

We carried you in our arms
On Independence Day,
And now you'd throw us all aside
And put us on our way.
Oh what dear daughter 'neath the sun
Would treat a father so,
To wait upon him hand and foot
And always tell him, "No"?
Tears of rage, tears of grief,
Why must I always be the thief?
Come to me now, you know
We're so alone
And life is brief.

We pointed out the way to go
And scratched your name in sand,
Though you just thought it was nothing more
Than a place for you to stand.
Now, I want you to know that while we watched,
You discover there was no one true.
Most ev'rybody really thought
It was a childish thing to do.
Tears of rage, tears of grief,
Must I always be the thief?
Come to me now, you know
We're so low
And life is brief.

It was all very painless
When you went out to receive
All that false instruction
Which we never could believe.
And now the heart is filled with gold
As if it was a purse.
But, oh, what kind of love is this
Which goes from bad to worse?
Tears of rage, tears of grief,
Must I always be the thief?
Come to me now, you know
We're so low
And life is brief.

Dylan and Manuel

Now we need state organizers, entertainment organizers, and permit organizers . . . After today's speech by bush it is clear he is delusional and must step down.
