Bush Vows to Repair U.S. Rights Record- "everybody will see the truth"

"I've put together a fantastic team of people," Bush told a Dubuque conference hall of cheering, flag-waving supporters while standing before a red, white and blue screen emblazoned with the moniker, "America: safer, stronger, better."


"The abhorrent pictures on our TV screens have stained our honor. They do not reflect the nature of the men and women we have sent overseas. We've sent decent, compassionate, honorable, sacrificing citizens," he said.


After a two-hour drive through the Midwestern countryside, the president told a Wisconsin town hall meeting that "everybody will see the truth" from abuse investigations.

"We believe in human rights and human dignity, and the example we will set for the world will confirm that," Bush said on a town hall stage set up in tiny Prairie du Chien.

People will testify. There will be fair trials, if there are trials. The truth will be known."

4. Isn't it amazing that we all seem to find the one significant line...

in the whole piece? What a giveaway that line is! Indeed, I would bet that one of two things will happen. 1) Nothing, because those soldiers were working such long hours, were drugged up on ampetamines, and suffering from the side effects, or 2) There will be evidence presented to show how those wily prisoners managed to provoke the soldiers (maybe questioning the morals of Lynndie England-now we just had to set those bastards right, we showed them!). Uh, OK, then you were completely justified in doing what you did, no problem, move on.
