Red Meat for the Kerry Campaign |
|
If Bush* doesn't fire Rummy and his happy little band of neocons, then Kerry has some real red meat to use in the campaign.
The tune goes something like this:
If I'm the president, I will be accountable to the American people for the people whom I have given authority. If this atrocity had happened under my watch, the people with the responsibility for preventing it would be FIRED immediately. That's what leadership is about: You give authority and demand accountability. A Kerry Presidency will demand accountability for the benefit of the American people and to assure America's standing in the world.

4. I sure hope you're right... |

... But I seem to remember Poppy Bush campaigning and saying he would create an office in the executive branch to prevent corruption. Dukakis answered in his administration, the office to do that would be the Oval Office. "The fish stinks from the head down." How the hell did Dukakis lose to that guy?
