So it seems Lieberman gets his talking points from Faux News
Noticed this from http://maruthecrankpot.blogspot.com/ (from 5/7):

I found this piece of unspeakable puke by Faux Nooze troglodyte Neil Cavuto and almost lost my breakfast:

A lot of people think president Bush should apologize for this whole Iraqi prisoner mess. Funny, but I don't remember hearing anyone say the deviants who strung up those four American contractors in Fallujah should apologize. Or for that U.S. military convoy that was blown to bits checking out a supposedly sacred mosque. No one's apologizing to them. Or to the families of those earliest American prisoners of the war, two of whom were butchered and hacked in captivity. No apologies there.

Followed by (from 5/8):

LIEBERMAN: Thank you, Mr. Chairman.

Mr. Secretary, the behavior by Americans at the prison in Iraq is, as we all acknowledge, immoral, intolerable and un-American. It deserves the apology that you have given today and that have been given by others in high positions in our government and our military.

I cannot help but say, however, that those who were responsible for killing 3,000 Americans on September 11th, 2001, never apologized. Those who have killed hundreds of Americans in uniform in Iraq working to liberate Iraq and protect our security have never apologized.

LIEBERMAN: And those who murdered and burned and humiliated four Americans in Fallujah a while ago never received an apology from anybody.

12. I think you have that other way around.
He is one of the people who want to neutralize the Democratic Party.

He really needs to get beat by a REAL Democrat and become a pundit on Faux News.

2. What an asshat.

First of all, those people were defending their country from a war of aggression by us.

Second of all, they don't have any leaders to apologize to us WITH even if asshat believed that we deserved one!

And 3rd, the people that attacked us on Sept 11 were terrorists. The people that tortured those Iraqis in Abu Gharib were members of an official army who were there supposedly to "liberate" the populace from a dictator.

Someone needs to ask Rummy in the next press conference whether or not he believes what Lieberman said is accurate and reflects how Rumsfeld feels.

3. Lieberman has put being Jewish
ahead of his position as American Senator. He shouldn't do that. bush claims to be defending Israel so Lieberman spouts the line.

5. This shows the flawed judgment of Lieberman to say something this
inflamatory for the Muslim world to hear, even if he thinks it to be true....Imagine this man as President dealing with delicate issues where it would be easy to inflame passions with a wrong word said....I heard him say just about the same thing on CNN....

11. Look, look, up in the sky...it's LIEBER-PUSS. Defender of idiocy!
Lieber-puss and Zell Miller can't get out of the Democratic party quick enough for my tastes. We may have a "big tent" policy, but I don't think this extends to those who actively sabotage the party and work counter to Democratic interests.

I would note that Lieberman represents the same state that captured and hung Benedict Arnold (New London, CT). The very same state that has an embattled Governor going through impeachment and just recently had a pederast mayor in Waterford(?). The gist being that "birds of a feather tend to flock together."

13. when they make these statements they just confirm that 'tit for tat' is
OK..they are legitimising even more attacks on US soldiers so in that respect they are blatantly anti-American and quite traitorous..they put winning an argument, defending the indefensible, negating one outrage by comparing it with another..the signal they send is that the USA does not genuinly intend to apologise and accepts the torure of prisoners..therefore one more US death is on thier shoulders.

14. I don't think Lieberman will..........
stay a Dem much longer. I think it rocked his world when he found out he wasn't loved by us. And I think he thought he should have been the nominee simply because he was the VP nominee in 2000. I think he is very, very bitter toward us now. To the point that he would do a Jeffers.

15. Cavuto is scum.
He's actually one of the worst people on that network, especially because he makes insane political positions while appearing rational. Even worse is the way he spins every point in the RW agenda into a _business_ show, for God's sake.

Oh, for those who have been following the RW Catholic threads, he's also suspected Opus Dei.
