He has to be either on the ticket or in the Kerry administration. He is an asset to our party. His mind would be a terrible thing to waste.

By law, you have to be out of the military for 10 years.
VP is just fine with me. Clinton for Sec. of State. Dean for Surgeon General, Al Sharpton for Press Secretary......

that Clark is not eligible for Secretary of Defense. He hasn't been out of the military long enough.
I'm sorry if you're new and haven't encountered this information before. I'm not trying to be mean, I just get tired of repeating the same info over and over.
It's my understanding that Rummy did serve, but never in combat.
And welcome to DU by the way.:hi:

He's getting right to the issue and clearly spelling it out.
And if I hear another of those RW shitheads starting their response with "99.9% of the military personnel are good people ...", I'm gonna scream!

I hope the Democratic party is finally beginning to appreciate him.
Even if he serves no role in the Kerry administration, he is doing the Democrats an incalculable service by showing that the popular notion that the repugs are the party of national security is totally bogus. That's what his new PAC is all about.
No matter what happens, I don't think his mind is going to be wasted.
