1. I WANT THIS TO BE TRUE!!
I like how the top of the website has a list of "21 Reasons Bush will win" and then there is the polling data which shows Kerry winning handily. I can't take four more years of that moron. God help us.

2. i'm sure there are pessimists in both parties
I still think we have a big uphill climb to redefeat Bush - we have to be ready for them thawing Osama out of his carbonite prison and for those WMD to be found two days before the election (and then a week or two after, ooops, they were planted there)

4. We can't get complacent
Donate your time, your money, and your conversation to getting the word out. We must never assume that the pajama people have a clue about what's really going on.

I was getting outrage fatigue last weekend and decided to take a day off the Net and the news programs. It's easy to avoid knowledge of the state of our society, and most people do it every day. They won't know unless we plant the seed.

8. Too Late On The Weapons Now...
Even the biggest wingnut hive-dwellers and kool-aid drinkers have given up on the WMD...they want you to forget about it. The "window of credibility" for this to be an effective issue for Bunnypants was the Kay Report.

I, along with many, thought that there could be WMD when this invasion began, but when they weren't used in when Hussein was on the ropes and then months went past where none ever turned up, then the regime could have set a tone that would have saved their ass on in this incursion...they could have told the truth.

They haven't, they've lied and the credibility, even if some massive underground chamber with all these weapons is found, is nil. Those who are critics will never believe these are legit and even Bunnypant's suporters will wonder why it took so long to find all this stuff. That's why this regime won't talk WMD and will do all it can to distort and distract any talk about it.

About "unicing" UBL...methinks this regime is too opportunist and that people are starting to get very, very wise to it. The damage the past month in Iraq has created on this regime still hasn't been felt. Take a step back and you'll see that it's almost impossible for this regime to re-establish any credibility with the world and a majority of this country for continuing this invasion and now is just hoping to hold on and sneak through in November.

12. well, don't forget
A few weeks back, some Middle Eastern news sources reported the US quietly unloading WMD into Iraq that had been confiscated over the years... and, the words of Bush & Cheney indicate that the search is still ongoing in that last 5% of the country.

So, I would not be at all surprised if on October 31, on a goat farm, we find some old soviet style WMD buried in a cellar beneath a cellar.

3. Interesting - this guy has GA as a close Bush state
I've been trying to tell people not to write off GA! There are a lot of people here hurting because of the economy. Outsourcing of jobs is killing people. Spoke to a parent of one of my students the other day. Her job is being outsourced - she will be unemployed by July. She is a single mom supporting three kids (husband left her for a younger woman). She told me that she has always voted Republican, but she is voting for Kerry. The clerk at the gas station (your typical good ol' boy southern type) told me he is voting for Kerry as well. His nephew is in Iraq. He lost his good paying job in 2002, and is having to work at a convenience store for next to nothing just to keep food on the table. Don't write Georgia off folks!

5. There's a long way to go.
And Bush is a wily campaigner. It's hard to underestimate his intelligence when it comes to running the country, speaking, thinking, or anything relevant to being president.

But don't underestimate his campaign skills. Bush is a spoiled fratboy bully, and he's mean. He is the bully in every John Hughes movie, or Draco Malfoy in the Potter series. Picture Malfoy. He abuses Potter, taunts him with the cruelist methods in front of his friends, yet knows when to look innocent in front of the teachers or other students. He is the expert at setting Potter up to take a public fall while he himself looks like the victim or even the hero.

That's what Bush is good at, and unfortunately, that is a good trait for politicians to have. This election hasn't even begun yet, so don't underestimate Bush. He knows he can't win on issues, so he is right now looking for ways to slander and destroy Kerry. The medals flap was just an opening salvo, more of a test than anything else. It will get nasty.

7. Then we must find ways to help Kerry win the battle. If Bush is wiley
coyote, we must be the roadrunner. Beep beep

9. LOL Cool analogy
Yes, that was what I meant. We have to fight hard, and never let up on Bush.

I'm amazed at how well Kerry is running. He's so far doing everything right, and that surprises me. I've said that before, and I get the obligatory "You are just trying to say nice things about Kerry because you are afraid to criticize him but he deserves criticism when he does something wrong blablabla," but I believe it. I would criticize Kerry roundly if I thought he was doing it wrong. But I don't. I'm impressed by his skills. He fights back at every turn, leads the offensive when he needs to, and knows when to let events take their course. He's not underestimating Bush, so far. I hope none of us do.

6. If we all work
very hard, it will be a landslide. This is similar to an athletic contest: if we put in lots of hours of hard work preparing for November, we'll win easily. If we are over-confident, and fail to prepare, it is a very different story.

11. Landslide - shmandslide....it doesn't matter
All we need is ONE MORE ELECTORAL VOTE than the chimp. Forget the south, forget the mountain west, concentrate on holding onto the states we carried in 2000, and pick up either Ohio or West Virginia, and the thing is done. The only thing that matters is re-defeating *.
