Has anyone in the media asked this question about the 'interrogations' ?
What specific intelligence are they trying to get out of these Iraqis? Are they still after chemical weapons? Insurgency? Where Saddam kept all his bling? If they're trying to cut down on insurgents, they're spraying gasoline on a fire to smother it :eyes:

1. Randi Rhodes did.
"What did they find out?" What were they looking for?" See, I am a Brooklyn girl, I am going for the straight question.

3. Certainly...
... intelligence product would be considered classified as information necessary to conduct military activities in Iraq. They are probably looking for everything they can.

As for the press, not much, but there is another DU thread today on some of a contract interrogator's diary which has been posted on a couple of web sites, and some of that diary strongly suggests that their interests are in finding foreign fighters--that would also suggest they are desperately trying to find links between the former Iraqi government and al-Qaeda.

4. It was a fishing expedition.
They were looking for anything they could get and getting their ya-yas out in the bargain.

A fine an example of people gone out of control as anyone could ever hope to find.

8. It was Tuesday and Bush's approval rating had dropped six points
His rating is now Lower Than a Snake's Belly, but he doesn't have enough troops to start another war.

6. why would they be interested in that?
That would require geniune compassion for your fellow human being to even conceive such an unfriendly-to-the-corporate-agenda question.

No, this scandal is over with something flashy like Rumsfeld's resignation, and then that will be it.

The interrogations will continue though, count on it. Just at a non-military facility run solely by contractors.

7. It's chemical weapons.
You know how OJ's after the real killer, right? (Okay, so he keeps looking on golf courses--but that's only because not only did he brutally stab Nicole and Ron, the fuckwit also stole OJ's one-iron.)

Well, Bush is still after the WMD. He'll do anything to find it, including having atrocities committed against any Iraqis we capture.

Remember last week when I said torture doesn't work as an interrogation technique? If Abu Ghraif wouldn't have had the lid blown off it, eventually one of the Iraqis in these photos was going to tell the interrogators that the WMD are in Abu Abu. Of course, he'll fail to tell the interrogators that the 1st Special Republican Guard Division is stationed one kilometer to the east of Abu Abu and the 2nd SRG Division is stationed one klick to the west, with result that the Battle of Abu Abu makes the liberal press under the headline "Abu Abu is this war's Custer's Last Stand."
