Who here remembered Operation Eagle's Claw????????????????? |
Today was the anniversary of the commemoration service for the commandoes who perished in that rescue mission. What I was getting at was I wondered if anyone could believe that then President Carter attended that service and the Shrubbery or * had yet to attend even a single military funeral.

1. FYI, a great thread here from last November on the operation. |
There's much to suggest it was intentionally sabotaged: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=629531And Lt. Gen. James Vaught, the Joint Task Force Commander of the rescue mission, gave a speech last Fall in which he said "I'm glad we didn't free those hostages in Iran back then, which would have just meant another four years under Jimmy Carter." http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=638484#638554
