Senator Lindsey Graham...."This is Not about the Geneva Convention"
Watching Meet The Press this morning, I about fell off my chair
when Senator Lindsey Graham mentioned that you do not need the
Geneva Convention to govern what happened to the so called
Iraqi Prisoners, (I still cant figure out, why we have Iraqi Prisoners, if we are supposed to be there to Liberate them)
And that giving Al-Quaida Geneva Convention status is a bad idea.
Also when they still cant figure out who Al-Quaida really is.
The Geneva Convention was agreed to by the US and other nations
not just for them, but also for any US soldier that is captured
during a time of War, Which the United States is not really in
because Congress has not yet declared WAR on anyone, they are the
only ones who can, not the President, this was an illegal invasion
of Iraq.
We cant keep going on this way, nullifying treaties that are in
place for good reasons.
This comes from the top, the Commander in Chief, and we all know
who that is.

2. If it's "anything goes" with supposed Al Qaida folks
then the word "atrocity" or "war crime" would never have any meaning there, correct?

If so, I'd like to know what types of "activities" that would be considered "war crimes" under the Geneva Convention have taken place in Afghanistan under US auspices.
