Abu Ghraib Timeline Updated |
|
Just finished a update to the timeline. In now includes just about every detail that I've been able to find so far - but there is still a lot of things missing. Play close attention to January 14th as lots of stuff went down that day. I've seen at least two different people that stated bush was informed on this date of what was going on. Next update will come after 7 PM this evening. http://www.savinggraves.org/timeline/index.htm

As I read some of the more graphic depictions in the NY Times article via your link,
"NBC News later quoted U.S. military officials as saying that the unreleased photographs showed American soldiers "severely beating an Iraqi prisoner nearly to death, having sex with a female Iraqi prisoner, and 'acting inappropriately with a dead body.' The officials said there also was a videotape, apparently shot by U.S. personnel, showing Iraqi guards raping young boys." (among many other human decency violations)
It occurred to me that each one of these people should be on the same public sex-offenders lists as our local weirdos. I sure as heck would think twice about letting my kids be anywhere near these sickos, or about letting them have kids themselves.
Here's a start for anyone with the time and inclination:

3. I wonder what Bush and Rummy would consider "humane treatment" |
|
That needs to be defined.
Also, why not just treat everybody the same under the Geneva Convention? If you're going to treat the Afghans "humanely," wouldn't that be abiding by the Geneva Convention anyway? What was it about the rules of the Geneva Convention that the Bushies opposed?
