Blitzer complaining to MacAuliffe that Kerry and Dems politicizing torture
pictures. The ironic thing here is that some here at DU are complaining that Kerry should be screaming about this and are angry that he ISN"T politicizing it enough.

No matter what, the mediawhores like Blitzer, Woodruff, Novak, Crowley, et al, will continue to beat the drum that Kerry IS politicizing this. It serves the interests of BushInc to have the public see the criticism as political rather than legitimate inquiry.

2. like the Army Times and the Economist are Democrats
... meanwhile, last time I looked at the whiner Neal Boortz's website, he was saying Bush should hurry up and deal with it "before the election," that the people "have a short memory"

these are slugs of the lowest order, now getting desperate.

3. The Dems and Kerry damn well better politicize this
It illustrates that this regime...er administration HASN'T GOT A FUCKIN' CLUE about humanity, or anything else. Hammer the point home! Rub their noses in it. And somebody tell Blitzer to try and report the news fairly, for a change.

4. BECAUSE IT IS A POLITICAL ISSUE!!
How our nation conducts itself when at war is one of the most political issues around.

They can't de-politicize this. It's like saying the sky isn't blue.

first of all, mr. blitzer, let's understand who ordered the prisoner torture and why they ordered it ... the Red Cross began observing incidents of torture as far back as March, 2003 ...

the objectives of the torture, Mr. Blitzer, were primarily to "put the squeeze" on captured Iraqis to help them find Saddam and to help them find WMD's ... perhaps you can understand that failure to find any WMD's, even one WMD, even a part of one WMD, is a political embarrassment to the "president" ... how many innocent people do you suppose were killed, beaten and tortured to serve mr. bush's political objectives, mr. Blitzer ??

and now you complain that Democrats are politicking the issue ... are you for real ??? everything about everything is political, Mr. Blitzer ... grow up, will ya ?? are you "shocked to learn that gambling is going on in here??"

politics is about one party fighting for control against other parties ... if the Democrats choose to point out the war crimes committed by the bush administration, you'll excuse me if I don't seem to care about your whinings about "playing politics" ...

why don't you spend your time reporting the horrors this administration has caused to the Iraqis, our allies, our troops and the safety of the American people instead of complaining about legitimate political discourse ???

8. Because it's not his job to report the truth.
It's Leslie's job to see that Bush retains power.

7. leslie blitzer
blitzer's an asshole. yesterday, he turned over a segment of the program to ahmad chalabi and continues to prop him up to a clueless, uninformed public. also, his angle on the coverage of the torture story is that it was a bunch of stressed-out soldiers and couldn't you understand how this would happen under the horrible conditions they were working, etc..

he's a pig.

for 6 months kerry has infatically called for rummy's resignation, didnt just start with this event

said it at the end, but not as strident as the first one would have been

though was thrilled that it sounds like macauliffee knows what kerry is up to and what to say.

the poll i think was outrages though. same one on msnbc is compleste opposite. seeing how i cant do cnn, if other dems are not allowed to vote on polls no wonder the off balance

10. That asshole !
And why wasn't MacAuliffe prepared to tell him that "Yes, it's political but it's not Democrat vs Republican. This is embarrassing to our entire country and , if you, Wolfe, were doing your job, you would see that and stop your silly ass shit about trying to make this a Democrat vs Republican issue. This would be a political issue if all the Democrats went home and never spoke a word. Do you understand that, asshole?!"

11. Is "politicize" french for "please don't blame us for our failures"?
The way these assholes use it, it seems the answer is yes.

13. not even close
i could be wrong about this but the latin root "pol" or the french "poul" means "chicken" ...

perhaps mr. blitzer was merely highlighting the fact that "chickenhawks" ordered the war crimes we're now hearing about ...

12. God forbid Bush ever politicize anything. 9-11. Mission Accomplished.
It's a coincidence that the pukies are holding their convention in September in NYC.

Talking Points from the White House Press Office. What a complete and utter Repug whore ole' Wolfie is! Didn't Lindsey fucking Graham--of all people address this point on yesterday's Meet The Press? His reply was that this isn't about politics-it's about getting to the truth--the truth-what a concept!
