Time Out: NBC News was critical of Bush? (Prisoner Abuses)
Edited on Mon May-10-04 06:08 PM by Cush
They said that Bremer and WH Officials ignored the warnings for months, and only acted when the photo's were leaked.

The also showed a clip from of Bush last year saying that all prisoners will be treated humanly, and if they aren't, the abusers will be treated as war criminals

1. GE is part of the war industry
Bush has pissed off the military.

They are after L'il George now because they feel war is safely underway and unstoppable now, but the bushgang have become embarassing.

4. My husband said a soldier called into Hannity and said that
the troops on the field were in full support of Rummy's resignation. They said the abuse scandal was only part of the reason. The main reason my husband repeated to me is "he is a terrible leader. We lost 40 men in Fallujah and then pulled back. We lost 40 men for nothing. He is a terrible leader." When I asked what Hannity said my husband said "nothing".

Speechless Hannity.

5. Well I wonder what is going on in Karl's puitred brain tonight?
Karl Rove must be having coniption fits. This thing is out of his control and the only thing he can do is go to the midwest for a bus tour in fly over country. Of course out there even if Bush was found having sex with a 12 year old they would still love him (Hat e the sin love the sinner stuff). So Karl's little gambit of flying under the big news boys by going to locals stations only is not going to work much longer. Even though they love him in red country this story is really overwhleming everything else and there is no stopping it. Especially after today when Bush comes out and says Rummy Dummy is great. That is like kicking the bees nest after it has fallen from the tree. These guys are idiots.

6. Corporate American Hates Blood
They don't mind if people live lives in squalor and abused, just as long as we don't have to see them. We like seeing the missles go into the elevator shaft, we just don't want to see the bloody bodies it leaves behind. It's ok to see the Shantytowns, but no way do we see who lives inside and how they live. We like selling sausages, we just don't like seeing how it's made.

If anything, blood is bad for a corporate image. Remember how Dow Chemical carried Vietnam "scars" for many years? There's a line of subjugation...it's when looking at it makes the tummy squeemish, then corporate America looks away. That is unless there's those boy rape videos...then there's some ratings still to be had.
