Bush: An Idiot Who Does Not Understand What He Reads...
... nor can he pronounce the words that are before him. He's too busy worrying about phonetically piecing together the individual letter sounds to form a word, than he is about actually understanding the MEANING of the sentence fragments he's 'reading'.

Today he said:
"...Soldiers from the Second-Light Calvary Regiment..."

Instead of:
"... Soldiers from the Second Light-Cavalry Regiment..."

What a buffoon!

3. LOL!!!!
That struck me so funny!!!! Calvary . . . .!!!!

As President Bush put it, they are an exceptional "few bad apples" whose actions "do not reflect the nature of our country."

4. * is at the Reading Readiness Level
He is surprised when he looks at the written word and can say it!
That is why he smirks after each sentence. He reminds me of a second grader with the little paper readiness book, the one with the BIG pictures. After he reads a page he is waiting for the teacher to give him a little star that will stick to his hand. Have you noticed the way that he will pause after 10 -12 lines. He is so happy inside that he made it that far!

God please save the United States of America. Please give us a President that can READ.

:hurts:

5. The "Pleased With Himself Smirk" Appears When He Manages To Pronounce...
a multisyllabic last name, or the name of a foreign city. He looks up as if to say "how's that" or "hey, I did it!" or "you thought I'd mess up, didn't ya?"

Folks, we have a total IDIOT... a dry-drunk with DT's... doesn't read books, or newspapers, has barely a 6th graders comprehension of the world, and his FINGER IS ON THE BUTTON.

But, hey... aren't we glad he's hooked on phonics instead of booze?

7. Unfortunately... Even The Folks At PBS's "The News Hour" Clean Him Up...
during the closed-captioning transcription.

Calvary appears as the corrected "Cavalry".

Iraqs appears in closed caption as "Iraqis".

That's just WRONG to scrub his words... it's NOT what he said. I don't care if it's what someone else meant for him to say... that's still NOT what he said.

Am I wrong in feeling this way?

8. Deaf people reading the closed captioning
would probably think it's a mistake by the captioners.

Hmmm... I guess they could caption:

calvary (sic) ... Iraqs (sic)...

but that would make the text twice as long. * mispronounces a lot of words.

9. You are so totally wrong! He is the son of a beautiful mind!
We are all trying to raise the pie higher here! Is our children not learning?

No Mind Left Behind! Gee-whiz, try to keep up!

And you just try to scrub my luggage or language or anything and don't try to get into the little side pockets that Pickles was too dang lazy to empty it all out.

And what's with the dang old words on the T.V.? I mean, like the writing and thangs, and, dang, we already gotta lissen to enough, right? Do we all gotta read, too?

His momma has "a beautiful mind", but her little boy makes me grit my teeth.

10. Well, it IS a crusade. So maybe on some level, that's what he meant.
As Mark Crispin Miller says in The Bush Dyslexicon, his malapropisms reveal much.
