Did I just hear that 2 other generals will testify before Taguba???
As I woke up, I thought I heard that The Pentagon (read Rumsfeld) has insisted that two of Taguba's bosses be allowed to testify before him. :wtf: Are they trying to make sure Taguba gets about 3 minutes in front of the microphones? I tried to find more at the NPR web site, but their "latest show" link takes me to an email screen. Did anyone else hear this?

2. Muzzling Teguba?
This guy is a brave man who tried to do the right thing. He's got to be a problem for the Administration and the Pentagon higher ups.

4. You know they've got to be desperate
to discredit Taguba. Can you image the rummaging that's been going on through his background and career history the last week?

5. Yes, Taguba was supposed to appear alone
but the Pentagon insisted that two higher ranking officers go with him. At least on of these officers will make statements ahead of Taguba. Just another form of Command and Control I suppose?

9. "He's Crazy & He's auditioning for a Position in the Kerry Administration"
"He is a disgruntled General who was passed over for a Promotion," would be my guess. . .

10. Why do the Committee members allow this???
The seem to be being pushed around by the military and the administration. Rummy forgot to bring a key document to his hearing last week and they let it go. I don't get it!

12. One of the biggest job creators in Maine is the Bath Iron Works
Edited on Tue May-11-04 07:12 AM by Marianne
located in Bath, Maine . It probably is the industry holding up that entire city and it probably provides jobs to a majority of people who live in Bath. Bush's last few campaign ads that were specifically aimed at Maine and a few other states, forget which, hinted, in the Bush way, I am told,I have not seen one, as I do not have local TV, at the control Bush and the congress has over the BIW--in other words, wink wink, vote for Bush and he will provide more contracts to BIW.

So let's see how Collins handles it.

I suspect she will be dull.

13. Well, if his boss goes first, I suspect that the "isolated incident" line.
will be laid down thick and they will dare Taguba to refute it.
