What's wrong with this picture???

I see at least EIGHT non-prisoners in this picture.
They appear to all be men.
So why is the military going after "six morons", some of whom are women?

Just an observation

1. dignity is missing, and lack of rage. it all looks routine and normal
these men, standing around as if they were just at work, around the shop. making three innocent men simulate a gay daisy chain scenario and taking pictures, all in a day's works.

maybye americans are still shocked that a woman can commit a man's debased activities. women are capable of equaling any male atrocity.
but folks are still blissfully unaware.

women wanted to join up for this, women should take the heat, just like the men.

7. i live in a big time military town...
so i can assure you, that our under-supplied troops were indeed deployed to Iraq with green camo. it caused a minor commotion at the outset of the war. just wasn't enough desert camo to go around. just like not enough flak jackets to go arouond.

11. They could be NG troops
I'm pretty sure that NG aren't as well equipped or trained as regular Army and probably are lower down the line in terms of who gets what.

5. I can't remember where I saw this...
...although it was just yesterday but someone was pointing out that a couple of those guys are civilian contractors or whatever it is that they are calling them. They apparently aren't being held accountable for much of anything just yet.

6. Sy Hersh identified all the individuals in this pic
Edited on Tue May-11-04 12:16 PM by LizW
on television yesterday. The guy with the black gloves (what the hell is that about?) is Lynndie England's fiance (Graber?)

The man bending over and the man in the green camo outfit are an MP and an MI (can't remember which was which). The point is, Hersh knows these people's names. If it turns out that they are not among the "bad apples" who end up being punished, we will know about it.

Hersh has seen many, many pictures, and I would be willing to bet that the same 7 people aren't in all of them.

9. Who's the big fat guy, choreographing the scene?
Either it's Nathan Lane, or the military is really relaxing the standards for weight in order to maintain troop numbers.

Oh, it could also be a civilian "contractor". You know, one of those guys from the apartheid regime in South Africa.

12. Thanks. Was thinking the same thing earlier. Book-marking for the apolog
Book-marking for the apologists who keep saying aboutthe 'other' photos that no one in Iraq is wearing green BDUs. There are other photos of soldiers with Green BDUs there but this one is perfect.
