Martial law seems less likely now
I know some have speculated, including me, that Chimp will declare martial law if he loses the election or that they will attempt to install themselves, permanently, as dictators. This would all kick off with martial law. However, it seems as if the military leaders really dislike rumsfeld and that disdain may now apply to Chimp as well, since he stood shoulder to shoulder with Rumsfeld. We know they don't like Wolfowitz and the other neo-cons that got them into this mess and are sacrificing their lives. Soldiers are losing their lives because of abstract games being played by Chimp and Co and they realize it. So, I think if Chimp was to declare martial law or try to establish himself as a dictator, I think it's very likely that he would be arrested by the military at this point.

5. The military probably would not go along
but then again, they're all spread out in the middle east & Afghanistan, aren't they, now.
