I was pleasantly surprised today. |

I am having some work done on my mobile home. And the man who is doing the repairs I thought would be a Bush supporter. He is a real Georgia redneck (pardon me for using that term). We got on the subject of politics and he said that he wanted to see Bush out of the White House. And he said, as we all say here at DU, ABB (anybody but bush). He was telling me that he has had problems getting jobs ever since Bush was elected.
And my son who is also a Southern redneck (even though he was born in Miami, but went to live with his father in Alabama when he was 13), also says that every time the Repugs are in the White House, the jobs go down the drain.
So, maybe there is hope for the red state of Georgia after all.

... about how tough things are (I'm in South Carolina). You have Republicans trying to distance themselves from the label 'Right-Wing' (read Bush Policy). And this gas going through the roof is going to wake up people quick, I think - they're going to realize we can't go Bush's way and survive.
