Is there a specific word conservatives commonly use to insult the French? |
|
Traitors? Snobs? something else?
Thanks.

8. Yeah, from an episode of the Simpsons |
|
Principal Skinner is talking about budget cuts and how times are tough, and then it cuts to Groundskeeper Willie teaching French.
"Bon- jjjjjouurrrr, ya cheese-eatin surrender monkeys!"
It was hilarious.
But, of course, FReepers have a knack for taking something that was just meant to be a joke and twisting into sick, hateful rhetoric.

"Cowards"
"Ingrates"
"Hypocrites"
"Anti-Semites"
Although I have also heard these terms used by people other than conservatives to insult the French.

11. Not all conservatives insult the French. |
|
Not those who can afford summer homes in the South of France. Not those who send their women to shop in Paris--or to buy French fashions in the USA.
Neil Bush sent his intended & her children to France while the scandals of their respective divorces died down in Houston. Then he proposed to her at a romantic dinner in a secluded chateau. (Reading the Houston Chronicle society columnist reveals more detail about these people than I really ought to know.)
They let members of the lower-classes embarrass themselves with "freedom fries".

13. The real reason conservatives insult the French is that they view the |
|
French as intellectuals. And there is nothing conservatives hate more than intellectuals.
