1. Halliburton
Edited on Wed May-12-04 02:10 PM by Zan_of_Texas

HAL hit the trifecta with the war against Iraq.

(1) they got the contract to put out fires and fix up the pipelines and oil fields (HAL is the world's largest oilfield supply company).

(2) as with dozens or hundreds of countries where the US military goes, in Iraq Halliburton has a LOGCAP contract that gives them a guaranteed profit, no bid, to do things like feed the troops. So, in essence, they help the US military bust up the country of Iraq.

(3) when the rebuilding contracts go out, who is first in line? Yep, you got it. One of the world's largest builders, Halliburton.

Of course, Mr. VP Cheney is not sitting too badly -- he gets something like $150,000 per year from Halliburton in deferred compensation. (Got millions when he left there to run as VP.) He only gets something like $190,000 as US VP, so when you look at his income stubs, it would be understandable if you get confused about who he works for.

6. I guess you could use irfanview or save it as a background
then screenshot.. I really don't know.. Perhaps the best way would be to start a thread asking for help in enlarging a picture.. I am kind of a dunce :)
