smells odious. When asked what was meant by the term "softening up the prisoners for interrogation", he said it meant the MP's could help by telling the interrogators what the prisoners were saying in their cells.
I wasn't aware that the MP's understood the Iraqi language which would be a requisite for eavesdropping on the prisoners. In fact, linguists were brought in to interrogate the prisoners.
