Now I remember why I seldom venture into that scumpit. "From your many worthless Anti-war (anti-patriotic) posts on this forum, I never thought you were even a man. At the very most, your wife has your balls in her purse", "Why don't you take your traitorous ass to Ftrance(sic) if you hate it here so much". They can't back up their positions with facts, so they use the sameoldsameold insults. Can't they at least think of some new insults!?! OTOH, I'm amazed that the anti-war poster hasn't been banned.
And how is it that they think it's ok to break copyright law, staunch supporters of law & order that they are?:eyes:

"Saddam might not have been a threat to us, but the U.S. needed to flex its military muscle to remind the Islamic terrorists that we're not spineless cowards afraid of fighting. Think of Iraq as a message that needed sending."

They try to strip those who display any modicum of sanity or freethinking of not only their patriotism, but their masculinity! I think it's hilarious what an ugly little wolfpack mentality these people are. And when Ann Coulter employs those tactics, it's twice as funny.

19. I understand what you mean. |
|
Just reading the droning, angry, poser he-man retorts makes me feel like reading something with intellect. That's not to feel superior but it is just to ward off the threat that I'll suddenly become dumber from being in contact with freep biohazzards.
BTW: When do all these monkeys find the time to post at FR? Don't they have to practice at their typewriters to see if they can hack out a Shakespear comedy?

"To: ohioman
Is is patriotic to justify the lies of a lying executive if the executive is a GOP? Remember, over 200 Americans died for no reason and it's likely that more will die before this is over. Not to mention the monetary and 'goodwill' costs we, as a country, are incurring because of this idiotic invasion of Iraq.

5. Do you work for Freerepublic? |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-09-03 07:27 PM by roughsatori
Or are you just giving them hits to improve their Google Ranking out of the goodness of your heart? :P
'sorry, I always click on your posts and like to read them--but if I wanted to know about Freerepublic I would go there instead of DU. It seems that more and more DUers report back on them to us everyday.
I am not telling you to stop. I am not attempting to censor. Just expressing that I prefer when people link to progressive news sites and forums.

6. But this is proof that they are turning on Bush |
|
When he's being criticized there, that's a lot more evidence of something rather than anti-Bush stuff from an anti-Bush site.
And look at it this way, we are wasting their bandwidth, and we won't donate to them to make up the costs, so it does hurt them in the end.

Also, why I made it clear that I was not trying to stop it, just expressing my opinion. You can enjoy them if you like--and I can be annoyed by them if I like.
I was expressing an opinion, there was no attack.
"Lighten-Up," is the kind of thing right-wing pundits say when ever Dems have a problem with anything. Perhaps you have been reading a little too many dispatches from Freakrepublic.

11. Actually, I'd rather read it here. |
|
Our forums are easier to use anyway, and besides, I don't go there to read their hits most of the time.
So it kind of is a wash- Google-ranking wise...

13. What in the world are you talking about? |
|
He's pointing out that even a number of super-conservatives are beginning to have doubts about the Admin's claims on WMD's. It's certainly relevant.
As for insisting on only publishing things off of progressive news sites, you're being as closed-minded as many of the freepers. Even though there is a lot of BS spewed there, I've gone there many times to see certain articles, others' viewpoints, etc. It's an information source - much bad but some good. It's pretty ridiculous to insist info only come from the sources you approve of.

|
Edited on Wed Jul-09-03 07:36 PM by bluedog
It's ok to admit that Bush lied you.Pulled the wool over your sheep like eyes.... They did a very good job. There is no shame.
They scared you, they lied to you and they told you that they would protect you. They played on your morallity, your patriotism and your fears, and they went to great lengths to do so.
Just as with a rape victim, it is NOT your fault.
What is NOT Okay America, is to continue to blindly follow.
To defend Bush and his administration is unpatriotic! The resident bush lied and sent many to their deaths....the blood is on the hands of all you!!!!!! Demand he step down....

BTW: Notice how that foul mouthed coward Nelson Mandela left the country rather than face the music when GWB came to town!

I don't know about the "foul-mouthed" part (huh?) but I doubt there is ANYTHING Nelson Mandela is afraid of, and hardly the Chimp. Mandela is approximately a thousand times the man George Bush will ever be.

20. Why is the right so nasty? |
|
I don't often go to the Freeper links as their inane rambling is disturbing. I know these people exist (there are plenty where I work), I just don't want to wallow in their shallow thinking, bigotry, and chauvism. I do wonder, though, why they're so mean-spirited and vicious. After the relentless hate campaign against the Clintons, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. But, really, what is wrong with these people? Are they all lonely white guys who feel cheated because women avoid them and their employers won't promote them? Or does it just seem that way from their posts? I read many of the posts here at DU. While people often disagree and sometimes mix it up a little, there is just not the level of unhappiness you see from the Freepers. Is is the effects of hate-radio, hate-TV, Hannity, O'Reilly, and Coulter? It's just sad that so many people are spending their lives boiling with rage.

of these posters before I say the Freepers are turning on Bush. I suspect they are basic plants trying to get the Freepers to see reality.
This is like someone coming into one of our forums here and seeing a disruptor and claim we are eating out own now.
